This planner is great and was so helpful. I didn't have long to plan a wedding and it helped the process. It had things in the book that I didn't even think about. The book with worth every penny.

Don't be fooled by the low price, this planner is excellent quality and very well put together. I bought it to use as a throw away planner until I got a fancy one, but it turns out that this one is every bit as good as the fancier ones! It truly is perfect for the budget conscious bride. It's very convenient, a great size, and includes everything you need to do and consider in the planning process. It even points out the things that can easily be DIY if you're crafty, or done by a talented friend or family member to help keep you within your budget. It takes the stress out of the planning, and it keeps everything important together in one place. My only dislike is that this book is such excellent quality that I feel a little guilty writing in it.

This planner has been a lifesaver!! I did not grow up imagining my wedding day or knowing even remotely what I wanted it to look like, so purchasing this book was my cry for help. Budget-wise, I haven't followed the book's financial advise too closely, more loosely by just keeping my budget concerns in mind. Where this book is worth its weight in gold for me is the lists, the posed questions of what if's, and all the information pointing out planning items I would never have known to address. For example, in the chapter addressing picking vendors, the author provided a list of questions to ask each vendor and then provided advice for the possible answers each question might receive. This formula is repeated with every planning section and helped me feel a LOT more confident and secure with my decisions. Even if I didn't choose to ask a vendor every single question the author provides, I still felt confident knowing I was equipped to know if I was receiving good service from each vendor. Additionally, the author provides checklists for both one-year and six-month wedding planning timelines (my personally planning is only six months, so this was especially useful for me!). Within both timelines is a broken-out countdown list numbered by each month left until the wedding, including up to one week before the wedding itself. Again, such a lifesaver! Overall, I recommend this book for brides/grooms who need realistic, creative thinking to keep wedding spending in check or, like me, need a simple, straight-forward guide to navigate wedding norms.

This is a great book that walks you through a great many aspects of wedding planning, but I would say it's really only helpful for the beginning stages. This book is designed to help you figure out basic things like "How many bridesmaids do I need?" "Who should I invite and who should I leave out?" "How should I budget the wedding?" "What kind of dress do I want?" "What questions should I ask my vendors before I hire them?" Unfortunately, by the time I got this book, I had already figured out a majority of the things because I was a third of the way through planning the wedding. That said, this book would be really helpful for a bride who just got engaged and doesn't know how to get started. The best part of the book in my opinion is about the vendors. In general, it's a good book that suggests a lot of things that an overwhelmed bride might not have thought about.

Book was bought for a smaller wedding. A lot of good information. It worked out perfectly!

I got this for my future DIL when she and my son got engaged. She's really creative as well as sensible and budget-minded so I thought this planner would be useful. She told me she got some really good ideas from the planner that she will use in the wedding and reception. She rated it 5 stars for useful ideas and help in staying on budget.
