It reminds me of the clocks that are in school classrooms, so if this look it too "institutional" for you, then look elsewhere.We are using it on a wall between the master bedroom and the master bath - - - no one sees it but us, so it was of less importance that it be decorative, and more important that it be functional and silent.Update as of 2018 - - We've purchased a second one of these to hang outside on our back patio. Although it is outdoors, it doesn't get direct exposure to the elements, as it's hanging under an overhang from the 6ft deep deck on the floor above. It doesn't get wet when it rains, nor is it exposed to direct sunlight. We're also in Northern CA, so the temps are moderate and never go above 100 or drop to freezing.That being said, the clock keeps accurate time and functions as well outdoors as it does indoors. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent, really quiet, keeps good time *by M***R on Reviewed in the United States on June 18, 2015* This is truly a silent clock, and I like the simplicity of its look. I was so happy with the first one I bought that I got a second one for another room. Both clocks arrived quickly, in boxes that used a minimum of packaging and yet protected the clocks very well.
