For the price, you get an immensely nimble attachment for taking both landscape and portrait shots. I'm giving 4 stars because of two small issues. First, the head of the holder is very flexible (red circle in the attached photo), not in a way that brings into question the quality of its construction, but more so problematic in its use. If you tap the screen of your phone to take a picture, your phone will shake and compromise the shot. If you are recording video and zoom in on the screen, again, your phone will shake and compromise the video. Thankfully, for pictures, I have a Bluetooth remote, so I can avoid shaking in that scenario. However, with video, the problem exists, kinda.This brings me to the second issue. Nicely, the holder comes with a 1/4" mount point on both pieces. Using the mount point on the arm securing the phone (green arrow in the attached photo), you can eliminate any shaking when manipulating the screen. However, in that secured orientation, you can't take a portrait picture/make a portrait video (without additional attachments or tripod capabilities). You have to use landscape.As for the transaction, I am very happy with it. I took a chance on a vendor with few ratings, but it worked out. The product arrived in its packaging and in great condition. I'd recommend buying from LS Photography.(Note - In my photo, I have a quick release plate attached to the holder. That's mine. The holder does NOT come with one.) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Look no further for a great unit at a great price. *by R***S on Reviewed in the United States on July 10, 2018* This review will compare to the Accessory Basics 360° swivel Smartphone Holder which was also purchased. If you have to look for a good, reasonably priced and practical swivel phone mount, look no further. This is one of the best you can get at it's price point. The body is made of plastic, which could have been a bit more sturdy in the neck area, however compared to the Accessory basics, it is longer, so that your phones like the s8 for example can fit more centralized and not become a side load on your tripod mount when you have it in landscape mode. The beauty of this design is that they included a silicone washer to prevent the phone from drooping to the side... something that the Amazon basic, does not have. If fact while testing the s8, it dropped and slapped the metal neck, which if I didn't have my spigen case on, I'd be pretty angry regarding the nick on my metal frame. And for $6 you can buy 2 of these for one Accessory Basics type if you break one. Really the only issues I have with this is just the neck to increase strength by more plastic, or a plastic spine along the middle.. and also the mount of the tripod hole could be put about 3mm back so that it doesn't become a stress point and break. That is the only reason this does not have a 5 star rating. But if you are in the market for one, BUY THIS. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A bit flimsy, but worked *by R***. on Reviewed in the United States on June 16, 2019* This did work OK with my Samsung S5 in making personal videos. The "L" shaped part is way, way to thin and flimsy. I replaced it with some sturdy aluminum. This is the way is should have been in the first place. Now it is very sturdy and gives one confidence when using it.Amazon may not like my review, but it is honest.
