Will the avocado savor pod save guacamole? Will the guacamole stay green?

Thank you for your question. I am not 100% sure, but l do not think this pod will preserve guacamole, compared to an air-tight container. It is ideally meant to extend the freshness time of a cut avocado. Thank you.

What doe the green button on top of the clear cover of the avocado keeper do?

It's purely decorative so that you can tell the difference between the other pods (lemon, lime, onion and tomato). The pods are probably larger than you think (they were for me). It measures 5 inches long, 4 inches wide and 3 inches tall. When looking at the pod to answer your question, I was able to fit two whole medium sized avocados in it. The pod is great for keeping avocados fresh in addition to guacamole. My last batch was good for 14 days in the pod and it can be used as a dip tray, as well. Hope this helps!
