SunnGas Uno Portable Stove

We found the handle that engages the gas cylinder sprung back if you did not use force to get it to stay down. After a few minutes of cooking bacon the whole stove blew to pieces. The bottom of the gas cylinder was found 10 metres away and the blast was so severe it ripped the windbreaker canvass from the wooden poles! I have contacted the manufacturer who said it has happened before but there was no product fault upon testing... What is the bet that they come to the same conclusion when they collect our blown up stove & test it....

The catch holding the gas canister connected doesn't work very well. Our gas stove overheated (presumably from burning escaped gas) and melted the knobs on the front of the device. When I went to remove the gas cylinder it was so hot I burnt my finger. I can well believe it might have exploded had I left it on longer. Avoid this product.

I have found the little handle that engages the cylinder gas to the notch does not engage well. I am having to hold the gas cylinder to the notch whilst pulling down the handle with a little force. If I do not do that the handle springs back. Just a fault with the product. Depends where you buy it from. My previous stove which I bought somewhere else was fine and lasted two and bit years.
