Melissa is a better Ursela than the original! HALLE OH MY WORD amazing! She is literally Ariel! She was made for this role! I loved all the cast selections, though Akwafina was great i still dont think she was a wise choice. The quality is absolutely amazing! Its as if were really in clear, crisp, beautiful water with them! I studied CGI for gcses and I cant believe how far it has come since 2014! The music is also extraordinary! Halles voice is perfect for the music, and I appreciate the people playing her sisters too! Would love to see more of them if there is a sequel. This brought my childhood dreams for Ariel to life! Thankyou Disney.

If you love the animation version you're going to be blown away by this version. Great movie but kept all the characters of animation movie. My grandchildren love it

It was fine for what it was, but it wasn't all that. Bit disappointing because it's Disney so it should be epic. But it's still a feel good movie.

Loved this movie in the cinema, and is fantastic to now be able to watch it at home. Halle Bailey is Ariel and preforms wonderfully, and her voice! She's a powerhouse singer. The underwater scene are beautiful. The film follows the story of the original pretty closely but with some small updates and alterations to keep it fresh and modern.

This is the remake I didn't know I needed or wanted. From the second I heard the tune, I was a mess! My favorite film remade but no less amazing. Yes, some parts have been changed, but as a true fan, you won't don't care. The movie was amazing, Halle Bailey is a MERMAZING Ariel!!! If I could give it more stars I would!!

This is another well-done Disney film! The real persons and computer-generated "animations" is itself worth the watch. And Bailey's singing is both glorious and soothing, and as told the story is ultimately uplifting. If you are very attached to having your fairy-tales excluding brown-skinned people or featuring only them in non-central roles, then this is NOT the film for you. (Fortunately for you, you will still have plenty of other choices out there.) If you couldn't care less, or you feel that fairy-tales belong to anyone and everyone they speak to, you will very likely enjoy this interpretation. -- In fact fairy-tales have been crossing continents and cultures since antiquity. Authors like the Brothers Grimm openly acknowledged they were "collecting" and re-interpreting them in most cases (to suit tastes of their day). Most of us would barely recognize the oldest know Cinderella-type tales, for instance, which are recorded among the Ancient Greeks. Caribbean mermaids tales, too, have been around for a very long. Again, bottom-line: a HIGHLY enjoyable fresh-take (in more than one way) on a familiar tale.

I gave this as a gift to a student. The student was excited to receive this book.

Though my first DVD I received wouldn’t play and buffered a lot, I’m glad I was able to get a replacement and the new one worked great! I love this version of The Little Mermaid and glad I have it as a part of my movie collection now!

Came packaged well and had no issues. What a great movie.
