Awsome price. Very durable. Have already sharpened dozens of knives with these. They work well.

The double-sided plate is thick enough to be solid, and the base stays in place on any smooth surface. The whole thing seems very well made and the stone cuts even premium knife steels like S35VN and CPM20CV quickly and efficiently. The size work well for most knife sizes including 8" chef knives.

Saw other reviews saying these don't have grit contamination and I agree with that. I just feel like the diamond bits wear off easier than usual. The plating is supposed to hold the diamond bits so maybe the plating is thinner? Not sure. But they give good feel and leave a clean edge. They for sure show me I'm still not so great at free hand sharpening. Four stars only because I've used several diamond plates and these work but wear faster.

This does an excellent job of keeping our kitchen knives, safely sharp. No slipping. The knife cuts where you put it on a vegetable, after sharpening. I like that it has a quick, carbide draw sharpener for garden and rougher knives, or for repairing a damaged knife. The 1000 grip panel is the extra touch for good kitchen work and hunting knives. My pocket knife, which is a tool and used as such, is quickly brought back with just a few strokes on the 400 grit and 600 grit. A few swipes on the 1000 grit panel if it is the end of the day. This sharpener is NOT meant for sharpening scissors or shears, but if you understand what you are doing, it works great for that chore. If you haven’t been educated to know how different scissors need to be sharpened, don’t do it, you will ruin you scissors. This knife sharpener will not ruin them, you will. I pulled my neighbor’s hedge shears out of his garbage, spent 5 minutes with it, then set it by his garage door. Now, he loves it. This is not a, “no-brainer,” sharper. But, a no-brainer sharpener will not get a knife half as sharp as this will if you take 15 minutes to learn how to properly sharpen a knife. It is very reasonably priced, and safe to use. I will buy again

I bought these to sharpen fixed blade broadheads. I used these to do the initial sharpening on three 3-blade heads, starting with the 400grit and working up to the 1200grit. These did an excellent job and they’ve held up to subsequent sharpenings. They’re pretty easy to clean with just a paper towel and they stack together nicely for storage. They’re small enough to throw in my hunting pack without taking up much room. Although they’re lightweight, they seem to be very durable and stable when using them on a flat surface. The engraved grit numbers make it easy to be sure I’m using the proper grit stone. Overall, great for what I bought them for!

Works well in a hobby setting. Not sure how well it would keep in a professional shop.

Like some others, bought this set after OUTDOORS55 on Youtube recommended them. For less than $25, this is a steal and has been a great set to learn how to freehand sharpen on. The lower grits can be pretty aggressive, as diamond should be. If you're just learning like I was, do yourself a favor and: 1.) Watch a few videos on YouTube about proper setup and technique. 2.) Take your time. Don't rush. Again, great bargain for a great set of plates, but I would recommend also getting a quality strop and a pack of polymer erasers at the same time for a solid starter sharpening kit.
