We’ve read that some people need a few days to feel the effects of the kava; this was true for my husband, but not for me as I felt the effects immediately during the first time I consumed it. After a day my husband did start to sleep better after eating it and it seems to be helping both our stress levels. We only take it once daily, usually right before bed. If you’re curious and don’t mind experimenting in your kitchen, I would start with this. It will not be the best or most potent kava product on the market, but it is great compared to capsules and extracts. If you take a tablespoon, you will definitely feel it, strongly feel it.
