My last foster needed to wear one because of dog aggression so I wanted to try a none basket muzzle. At first I was afraid she could get this one off so I hooked it to the collar. Woops. Realized that helped her slip out of it. I then just left the loop alone and no matter how hard she tried, our foster malinois could NOT get this off. And she tried everything. Huge success. Waas still able to eat small treats, drink water and pant. Just could open her mouth wide enough for her to bite anything ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ a good muzzle is hard to find *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on November 23, 2017* Oh man, a good muzzle is hard to find. Either they don't stay on or the dog just freaks out when they are put on. Both dogs I tried this on just hated their basket muzzles but were more accepting of this one. If it is tight enough and attached to the collar they can't seem to get it off. Only negative is that it presses on their eyes a bit, but it still seems to be the best one I can find. I purchased this muzzle for him so that when I’m away or during the night, I can rest assured that he is not literally eating me out of house and home. Hero doesn’t mind me putting the muzzle on him, he thinks it’s a game of sorts I think, so I believe the leather like material is comfortable on his face. After having it on for a minute or two his focus changes to trying to get it off by using his paws; not good. In order for this to really be effective for him when I’m not with him I believe either doggy socks or a cone will be necessary so that he will not tear it off his face.As far as fit goes, I purchased a large and tightened each buckle to the last hole, he’s growing still so there will be expansion room.
