I have a few complaints, but want to be clear up front: THIS MACHINE IS EXCELLENT. I AM VERY PLEASED. My first review was very low because the packaging for shipping is inadequate. All the pieces will arrive scratched and paint chipped off which bothers me very much. One piece (a pully) was completely snapped off. This was not FedEx because the box was in perfect condition, but all the stuff inside was rattling all over dinging each other up. That said, they replaced the broken piece and also a missing piece. The shipping took a couple weeks, but they eventually got it to me. Those replacement pieces were packaged perfectly and are actually the only pieces on the entire thing that are not scratched up. Either way, it is all put together now and it works AWESOME! This is a very good and sturdy machine. I am very happy with it. Their customer service was absolutely perfect. They fixed all my issues, so I am very happy. As for the functionality of the machine, there are a few minor things that were poor design choices, such as the weights smashing into each other on the rack. If you load up your weights onto one of the pullies, for example, and have weights on the storage part (on the back sides) then use the pully, the weights smash into the top storage (unless you have tiny weights stored I guess). So that was a poor design choice having it slope towards the top. Very annoying. Also, if you have weights on either pully system and then go do to a smith-machine workout that goes low down (like a squat or dead lift) then they smash into the weights on the pully. This sucks a lot because you cant do any workout that alternates between pully and smith, you gota constantly unload the weights which is a huge pain. Those are just minor complaints though. I want it to be clear that I LOVE this machine. Minor complaints but the rest is awesome. The smith machine is SUPER smooth and stable. It has a TINY tiny bit of "wobble" (seriously TINY bit, barely noticeable), but I actually like it because it makes it feel a tad bit more like a free barbell so you get a bit of stabilizer muscle work. I think it's the perfect setup. As for putting it together, I did it 100% by myself and it took like 8 hours across a couple days. Maybe 10 hours. The instructions are flawless. Excellent excellent instructions. They are written in perfectly clear english and the steps are very simple. They also package the bolts and everything BY THE STEP! So it says "STEP 1" and all those bolts are packaged in their own "STEP 1" package. Setup took a long time because it's a big machine but they really did a perfect job at making it easy with no errors in the manual. Every time I THOUGHT there was an error, it turned out the piece was just hiding in a spot I didn't expect. For example, step 9 had two screw/bolt packages which I didnt realize at first so I thought I was missing some bolts, but I eventually found them. Also, do NOT take the plastic bag off any part until you are at that step. Otherwise you will not know which letter corresponds to that part. Take it all out of the boxes, but leave the labeled plastic on it until you are ready for that part. Including mixed-bag parts (bags with like 5 or 6 different parts in them). All in all... Highly recommend.

I bought this unit to replace a measly Marcy all in one gym. I was super unsatisfied with The marcy's quality and ability to perform exercises i saved up money and waited till a super prime day deal and pulled the trigger and upgraded BIG time to this. The machine is great! super beefy construction, smooth operation and looks fantastic. My wife helped me assemble and it only took us a couple hours from in box to done. The instructions can be a bit hard to figure and see, but with some common sense and attention its not too bad. Everything came perfect and complete. The machine works flawless, super smooth operation, fitment is perfect and for being a big unit, it actually has a decently small footprint. I love all the excerises you can do. From the independent cables to the smith bar to all the included attachments the only thing i can't accomplish is leg extentions. This has made my workout so enjoyable and efficient. So minor cons: The unit comes in multiple deliveries. I dont know if thats Mikolo, Amazon, or FedEx but it was confusing and i thought i didnt get the entire thing, only to find out it came in 2 seprate deliveries. So keep that mind so you dont freak out like me. The instructions are a little hard to decipher and see the illustrations like stated above. And obviously you'll need to buy weight plates to use the unit, but thats part of the deal. Also even though the instructions dont really say, i'd keep up with quality silicone lubricant on the slide bars. All things said and done, I've been using this 4 days a week for a few months now and the machine is flawless, and perfect. I've loved every minute with it, and i see it lasting a long time. Highly recommend. Get it on a prime day or big holiday sale and nab yourself a STEAL!!!!

Throughout my long assembly process, I told myself I would write a review. For the price of this Smith Machine, it doesn't get anything less than five stars due to the amount of functionality you receive. I felt like every alternate option I looked for (and I searched for weeks) had a compromise somewhere. This is the one that has the most amount of workout options, and that alone is what caused me to purchase. I really like the way the cable racks are designed for the plates. Other machines I looked at only used one bar for the cable racks and I knew over time that the uneven pressure would cause issues with sliding/squeaking. The actual Smith bar itself is incredibly smooth and feels very high quality. I can tell while I'm bench pressing that the cage isn't quite as large as one you would use in a gym, but those are several thousands of dollars and typically only have the Smith bar. Lastly, and this is what stood out to me the most, was the quality of everything. You have to be careful with the instructions because it's mostly visual without explanation, and it could be easy to mix-up the lines if you aren't focused. However, every single item was accounted for and nothing had so much as a scratch. The metal components feel extremely solid, and I love that small plates are used at connection points to protect from buckling. The packages for the screws, bolts, etc. were very well organized as well with the item names affixed below each set which helped immensely. My recommendation for assembly is to grab a marker, and each time you start a new page do a quick inventory of everything you'll need for that page and mark it off and set it aside before working on that portion. I did not take all of the nuts & bolts out at once and instead only took out the pieces when I needed them. Lastly, you'll want to use a socket and impact drill as it will save you A LOT of time and effort. Aside from the miniscule compromises like the metal rings that you use to stack your weights and the weight holders being plastic in certain areas, you just can't beat this Smith Machine for the price. I'm honestly shocked it's not at least $1,500 for the base M4. If the two things I mentioned bother you, you can just go buy a pack of weight rings for $20 to replace the basic ones that this comes with.

I have used this rack a handful of times after purchasing it. The shipping was pretty quick, and all the bolts and pieces were present. I assembled it by myself and it took some time but it's possible. But I recommend getting a wrench, and a socket wrench, it'll help immensely. The smith bar and pulley system is pretty smooth stuff, but I put some lithium grease on them both to keep them healthy longer. If you're tall you are going to have to stack some plates under the smith bar to get a full ROM for RDLs and all that. But for incline press and seated overhead press, it's perfect. The weight storage on the sides seems strong. I have 4 45lb plates on each bottom one and they are holding up. Even though they are just a solid metal rod with a plastic outer shell. I was a little disappointed to see that the weight pegs for storage and on the pulley systems are all plastic, which I'm sure will present problems at some point down the line. But with just a family using this rack, I'm sure it'll be fine. The attachments the rack comes with are not complete garbage, which I was worried about. The bars seem to be strong enough to do some heavy pulling, but they are rubber coated not knurled. Not the best, but not the worst. However the tricep pushdown rope felt like literal plastic. Stiff and unwieldy, so I tossed it. Overall a wonderful addition to the home gym. Now I have no need to train in a "globo' gym. Its a perfect personal use rack. I am satisfied with this purchase.

Pros: - life time warranty and great customer service - the price is good for a smith machine power cage with pulley system. (I got it for 1100$ on Black Friday) - space saving because it is not too wide and not many things sticking out - very easy to assemble. It is like IKEA instruction. - well built and sturdy. feels premium quality. easy on the eyes. - the pulley system is very smooth. I just wish there is an option for extra attachment to do the real cable crossover. - very versatile and you can do a lot of workouts. Cons: - it is big and heavy, so too much hassle to return. (make sure you really did your research before buying) - the smith machine barbell doesn't go all the way down for a good hip thrust exercise. you'll need a block or something to step on to do the hip thrust. - the machine is just the right width for me who is 5'9'' and 160lb. I wish it was wider. If you're a big guy, this might be too small for you. The width that is shown in the picture (48'') is measured from outside of the cage. it is much narrower (42" ish) when you measure it from the inside. - the pulley is not high enough for a lats pulldown but if you can sit on the floor it is doable. - the pins that hold the band pegs in place are too small, but I don't need them anyways Overall it is a good product. I would have given it 5 stars if it was a couple of inches wider. I have a 7' olympic barbell so the rack is a little too narrow for it.

Best machine I've owned! Its been ggoing strong for a couple years with a LOT of use and their customer service from day one till now has been INCREDIBLE!

I ordered this Smith Machine on Black Friday, It was shipped via FedEx in 4 boxes. The machine arrived within the delivery time frame. They were packaged very well. Assembly was not difficult even by myself. Took about 4 1/2 hours to install it completely. The directions were ok except for the bar position for the Smith Machine safety pins (had to disassemble and flip them around). I did have an issue with two parts being bent (they were packed well but probably got damaged in shipping). Contacted customer support and got a quick reply and they took care of the issues for me (stand by their product). For me, the Smith Machine has been a game changer. I can quickly switch between exercises with minimal effort. I had read in previous reviews that the pully assembly would chip the paint (the metal anchor cover scratching the pully assembly sides). This unit was redesigned with plastic tip ends and a different design for the pulleys. I like being able to remove the J-Hook bars to free up room around the machine. One thing they should mention is that the footrest folds down and/or can easily be removed. This was one feature that I was not wild about (thought it would be in the way or I'd trip over it) but I've just flipped it down and it's completely out of my way. The pully functions are super smooth and the weight ratio for the pully system is about the same as I've used on other machines. For now, I'd give the Mikolo Smith Machine 5+ Stars (if I could) It's a great value and looks pretty sharp in my home gym!

It's a great product for the price. I've been using it for over 8 months now and really happy with the purchase. The machine is very versatile and I gives me ability to hit every body part really well. It's also very sturdy, I load it with over 300lbs and no issues so far. The only slight negative is the assembly instructions, they are not clear in some parts and in my case I did not install cables correctly which had them stripped. The seller immediately sent me new ones. So pay attention to assembly and watch some videos on youtube.
