Good bags!
So far so good!! The target bags have performed as expected, good stopping power and at a great price.

The Amazon pic is confusing but great !
Could not afford any larger in the Hurricane line of targets so I decided to settle for the lowest cost pic which shows a smallish target more tall than wide ... other pics in the ad and utube videos made it even skinnier looking ..... Target came today and I was surprised. I had to measure it to prove it was indeed the 20x20 version, perfectly square and largefat stuffing. I looked at it on an angle as a lot of pics show and it does distort the target to a smallish tall square not as wide despite the 20x20 claim. Just an illusion ! target is fully square, stuffed like Santa, and sturdy quality ! Only those who excel at 95 yard shots would need larger ! In a year of $8 a pound ground beef, this is a 1995 cost blessing ! UPDATE : Amazon is selling 9 roll pack of vinyl tape in different colors. At a wonderful $6 price these are perfect for arrow hole covering and in the proper colors for the target !

A large affordable target that can take a decent amount of abuse.
I started using this target in mid-December 2020. Since then it has taken between 3500-4000 hits. When I first started using it, I was also just starting archery, so initially I kept my shots towards the center. It quickly became apparent that this wasn't sustainable, as concentrated fire in the same area was causing premature wear. After the first few weeks I started spreading my shots out. Soon after I painted some additional dots on the target for aiming points. This let me make better use of some of the negative space on the target. You can see from the pictures that the target is looking pretty shot up, with a couple of areas looking just about shot out. Fortunately, replacement covers are available (perhaps not from the original brand) that can help you extend the life of the target without the full replacement cost.I've been using a variety of traditional style bows (longbows/recurves) from 30-50#. I have never had any problems with pass through, or even poke through, except when I shoot too close to the edge of the bag. For the first few months I diligently took the bag down when I wasn't using it and carried it back inside. Moore recently I've been taking it down but leaving it outside. Judging from the fading, and texture of the bag, the UV is really tearing it up. I wouldn't recommend leaving it outside like I've been doing.I shoot a variety of wooden and carbon arrows. How easily the arrows pull free from the bag depends entirely on how flush the point/insert/shaft are fitted. Some of my arrows have a small ridge from the insert, these catch a bit. The only point I've lost inside the bag came from shattering a wooden shaft with another arrow. Part of the arrow fell free, the rest stayed in the bag. Meh.Since getting this bag, I've also acquired a compressed foam sheet target (Big Boy targets). Arrows pull out of the bag target far easier. I plan to continue using the bag target because even though it's the largest size, it is still fairly portable. It's also nice to have multiple targets when friends come over and wish to challenge your skills.Like almost everything else in archery, a bag target is ultimately a consumable, and will eventually wear out, and need to be replaced. The best things you can do to extend the life of your target;1. Use the whole surface. Spread your shots around.2. Use both sides of the target3. Try shooting from different angles. This can help utilize the outer edges and sides.4. Don't leave the target outside when not in use, particularly in strong sun.5. Finally, when it seems like the target is done for, consider getting a replacement cover. Especially if you haven't lost any of the filling yet. This is much cheaper than a new target.-Cheers

Big, sturdy and cheap
I bought the biggest size because, well, I need a big target and I'm cheap... The bag is large and tough (and heavy) with a sturdy carrying handle. It's rigid enough that it stands up straight and doesn't flop around, although you may need something to prop it up with if you don't have a backstop to lean it on. I have been using it with a 30# recurve for about a month and have had no problems getting the arrows to stick and there is absolutely no chance for a pass-through so it would take much higher draw weights. The arrows are fairly easy to remove. Having said that, my son has tried to use it with an 18# recurve and the arrows just bounce off, so it's not suitable for kids or other people using low draw weights. Note that the target I received is white (not neon green) with neon green and black printing. The printing is also different, with one side having a 6" or 8" circle in the center and smaller circles in the four quarters with a large black cross superimposed on the center ring. I actually like this better because I find the cross easier to use as an aiming point. The opposite side has the deer torso with the internal organ locations printed on it similar to the images in the description. Overall, it seems like a bargain and I'm very happy with it.

The H21 is a great bag target for the Cobra Adder... "let me show you its features"
I'm writing this having just finished my first 20 shots, both for my Adder and this target bag. The concern for the Adder is it uses bolts on the shorter side of things, compared to my other crossbow, and most crossbows I know of at this power range(obviously those small pistol crossbows use even smaller bolts, they don't count). This means a target bag needs to limit penetration enough to prevent the veins entering into it thereby damaging the veins. This bag generally does the trick.Bolts land with a satisfying audible "thud" that, and practically ideal penetration. They go in to convincing depths, but generally leave at least an inch of space from the veins. I say "generally", because if you hit the target at the edge, or at a weird angle, there's a good chance it could go in far enough to damage the veins and you'll need to do the hair dryer or hot water trick to get the veins straight again. That being said, I only had that happen once, while I was adjusting the sight. Once it was sighted properly and I had no problems landing the bolts in the primary target areas consistently, it didn't happen again. As to how long this bag will hold up, only time will tell. My experience with these kinds of stuffed bag style archery targets is they last pretty long, you just might have to put a new cover on them. One thing to note - My target was not orange or exactly as pictured as far as the graphics on the bag. It's mostly white with orange and black graphics, but the dimensions are correct and the stopping power is perfect for my needs.

Crossbow target
Looks great, arrived early. Can't wait to test it with my crossbow
User
Great bag
Works perfect. My compound bow is set to 5lbs and this thing takes the hits no issue.

A Great Bag!
Bought this so I could target practice with my first bow and it's great! This was twice as much money as the solid block of Styrofoam targets ($30) that you can get locally but I can assure you the quality of this Hurricane bag far exceeds that of the Styrofoam block. The bag will last much longer so in the long run it will save you money!
