30 Pin Bluetooth Adapter Audio Receiver, Not for Cars or Motorcycles

The ZIOCOM wireless receiver was incredibly easy to set up. Within just a few minutes, I had it connected to my Bose SoundDock and was streaming music from my phone. The sound quality is excellent, the Bluetooth connection is stable, and it gave new life to my older SoundDock. If you’re looking for a simple way to make your Bose dock wireless, I highly recommend this receiver!

I am using this with an old IPOD HOME product from about 2016. Works Great to play music from my phone through the IPOD HOME device.

Obviously easy to install (just plugged it onto the 30 pin iPhone dock) on a Sony CMT-LX20i Micro bookshelf system with a built-in iPhone dock (about five years old) and it appeared quickly on on the iPhone bluetooth list. Tapped on I-Link and it paired right away without needing a passcode. Through-put and sound quality is very good and the range is excellent for bluetooth. It did not work on an older Bose Soundock that I no longer use (no power switch). I would have given the Zio a Five Star rating except for the following glitch: it reconnects automatically, but if another iPhone has connected in the interim, or if my phone subsequently has connected to another bluetooth (car, etc.), it will not reconnect even if selected, and it is necessary to tell the phone to "forget this device," exit and reenter bluetooth in Settings and them tap on I-Liink again, and it connects. This is my only bluetooth device that does this, and I can't figure it out -- it's like a rolling code or something. Until this happened I was going to buy a second Zio for a device at my vacation home, but I think I will wait and test it on that system (Sony Digital Media dock). Supplemental Report: I bought a second unit and tried it on a 2007 Sony system Media Dock. It worked with good range and sound quality if installed on an already on Dock then paired, but once the system was turned off it didn’t work when turned back on until re-installed and re-paired. I could not solve this problem and returned the second unit. Be prepared to test it quickly on your system. If it works, you will like it a lot; if not frustration.

I am so glad this exists. My Bose speaker would be useless because the newer I phones don't fit in the mount this was originally designed for. It fits perfectly and was seamless to connect via blue tooth to my phone. It looks and functions like a quality item. Reccomend.

It's been several years now and it still works great with my Bose! Definitely worth it!

I have an older BOSE Sound dock which has an old Apple 30 pin connector, it has been used for a while using an AUX cable but adding the ZIOCOM bluetooth adapter has meant it can now be used in a much more flexible way. Can connect to it using the laptop, phone or tablet.

Since 30-pin connector carries ANALOG signal - the (pre?)amplifier is located inside this bluetooth adapter and not (only) inside your fancy speaker. I was sceptical that the little not-too-expensive dongle may turn my otherwise okay speaker into dollar-store grade one, but it was actually quite good! It connects from across the whole house and doesn’t drop the connection/hiccup at all. Also it looks somewhat like “factory installed” in my speaker :D UPDATE: Tested it with BOSE Sounddock Series 1 (the ancient one that doesn’t charge 5V USB devices - only 12-16V FireWire) and it works just as well! I’m going to be buying one more of these adapters now :)

Great way to update my IPod based boombox. Works great with IPhone and blue tooth. Some older equipment is proprietary to Apple equipment, it will charge, but not send sound, so I had to use the Zicom Aux output into the boombox Aux input, but it came with a perfect sized cable. Works great!!!!

It was very useful to connect Bluetooth for old Bose Soundtouch.
