Beginner's French in a Day: Teach Yourself

i would recommend this cd to anyone its great only thing to be wary of is it only plays in mp3 compatible cd players so if you have an older car it won't work .

Good guide to the basics but be warned this is in MP3 format so will only play in a computer hard drive or MP3 player

This isn't going to teach you French. But it will teach you enough to get by, and it acts as a good foundation if you want to progress further, It's in my car stereo for a few weeks, so that it all sinks in.

I don't usually leave reviews but this CD was so disappointing I decided I would. There is very little French to be learnt, most of the CD is filled with silly jokes and scenario settings in English. I found it irritating and not at all useful as a learning tool.

Was ok, but we could have done with simple phrases for ordering food, booking a room... went in to a bit too much detail and was a bit waffly. The intro was pointless.

brilliant item, purchased prior to holiday in France and the whole family listened and leant key phrases. Wold buy again.

I'm hoping this will help my daughter learn a few French phrases before she heads off to high school.

This disc was informative and listening to this before the travel did help later on.

I ordered it before realizing my car does not have a CD player! I gave one to my friend, who plans to go to Paris, and she loves it.

It would not play in a portable CD player.
