I would highly recommend this book for everyone to read even before stepping on to America. I have some suggestions but I believe the authors know better. Loved it and felt emotional when finished reading the book! I was literally flying through the clouds and felt magical while I am about to complete haha!

This book is incredibly thorough with the knowledge of the system I've been going through for many years, and made me learn so much more about the subtle details about all these programs I had no idea about. It doesn't get you hopeful for false dreams, and is really sympathetic with the realities of the systems, while detailing so many pathways and even different countries. Compared to sporadic information from blog posts, social media and news sites, this book is very much appreciated. I stayed up till 3am reading it and then finished it all in less than a day of getting it. It's very well written by a mix of stories of people who experienced it as well as a lawyer making sure it's very accurate and recent upto the updates of 2023.

This is actually the first book I purchased in US. -The book has done fantastic job to breakdown the complex legal jargon into an easily understandable form. - It has a clear message to us, that we can apply to build our profile. Don't get me wrong, it doesnt have a action plan laid out to you and quite understandably coz there is no one size fit all. The thing that helped me is the fact that you know the requirement of the USCIS so well that you can actually start to build you profile and not waste energy on the things that seems important but aren't. -Real stories of individual like you and me who've been through the same arduous journey helps you to be humble and commit to the process. In one word: I recommend every international student buy and read this book.
