Soft yarn
This yarn was a little thinner than I expected, but it ended up perfect for my project. It is soft and easy to work with for crochet. I didn’t have any issues with the yarn knotting easily. I would buy it again.

Not as thick/heavy as thought
Good color. Not as thick as I wanted. Good for knitting, but not for wrapping small packages.

Beware! DK and only 3oz/85gm
I read the reviews before purchasing this so was aware it was not a true worsted weight yarn. I calculated the grist of the yarn (yds/lb) and it is a heavier DK--I was OK with that. What I'm NOT OK with is the quantity. Since it is only 3oz (rather than standard 4oz or 100gm balls) I needed to buy two so I'd have enough for the hat I was making. This makes it a more expensive yarn, especially for acrylic. I selected this yarn as it was the lesser of evils for acrylic yarn as it is from recycled materials. If I'm going to use plastic yarn at least it's not putting more plastic in the world. It also has a small 20% amount of wool. Typically I buy only natural fibers but I'm knitting hats to be given in return for donations and easy to care for yarn was requested. The yarn itself is pleasant--if doesn't squeak on my needles like some acrylic and has a nice texture with minimal fuzz.

Soft and durable
This yarn is soft given the fact that it contains wool. The yarn is easy to work with and the finished product came out perfect. There was no fraying of the yarn.

World war 2 vintage green
Hard to find color. It is a high quality yarn. There are other colors available. I will get more. This yarn is pleasant to work with. It is utilitarian but soft. It is a nice-in between-very soft and the tougher yarns ( Which by the way gave their uses) I am considering shorts or a sweater.

Not as thick as worsted weight
I have bought and knit with Wool-Ease yarn many times over the years and am sorry to say that this particular one is sub-par to the Wool-Ease I used to buy at craft stores like JoAnne Fabrics. For one thing, the yarn is in no way a true "worsted" weight, but rather more of a size "3". I had to double the yarn to get the thickness of a true worsted weight for the hat I wanted to make. Plus, it has only 20% wool; not sure what the wool content used to be with Wool-Ease, but this yarn just doesn't seem to measure up.

best affordable wool yarn
this yarn feels pretty similar to soft hobby lobby acrylics such as yarntopia and sweet delight. the actual wool percentage (that isn’t recycled) is pretty low, but my cat who only messes with my wool yarn (in particular he’s obsessed with my knitting for olive merino) still tries to take this from me. the color options are pretty…limited. and oddly enough are super weirdly priced on here (as of right now one is as low as $3 while another is $13–for the same yarn just a different color);that’s probably just an amazon thing but it’s still pretty weird. overall this is a pretty good and sometimes affordable yarn, i would say it’s not exactly a worsted, probably a thicker dk. and it splits like no tomorrow, especially with sharper needles, but it’s really soft so that makes up for it. i used the pink for a baby onesie, and it’s really nice!!
