Works great

This might work for long bladed mortise chisels but it does not work for the common bench chisel. The height between the wheel & tool rest carriage is too much height, therefore the angle is so long that there is not enough chisel length to extend to the proper/desired angle. I found other sharpening jigs that have the blade clamped right above the roller, this would reduce the extended length needed to achieve proper chisel blade angle.

Nicely made. The angle guide has no use for chisels because it will not produce the correct angle for chisels, but does work great for sharpening them ( even at the wrong angle ). Rolls nicely, but it is too tall to accommodate the proper sharpening angle. Certainly cheaper than new chisels or having someone do it. Kind of worth the price.

You will need to build some kind of jig for the sharpening stone unless you have a huge one. Otherwise it doesn't fit on a regular stone. Further, I have many styles of things to sharpen and many of them don't fit, or can't be secured. Not really what I hoped for

Fine for plane blades. Too tall to get a usable angle on regular chisels.
