Breathe in, breathe out
I don't normally write product reviews, nor do I normally buy things like this, but both kind of happened on a whim.... So here we are! Anyway, I think this is a pretty awesome tool. To explain why, I present to you a story: Before the pandemic I had a decent habit of going to yoga classes once or twice a week. One thing I really appreciated about the classes was having a guide (the instructor) that could help me with my practice. The instructor both helped make sure I was doing moves correctly and was able to give me feedback in order to help me improve. The reflect orb acts like a guide for meditation in a similar manner. If desired, you can watch the rings in real time to get a sense of how alert or calm you are in the moment and/or if you set up and sync with the app, which I recommend doing, you can wait until your session ends and you can look back on the session data to see how it went. This feedback helps me to see how effective the current meditation approach is for me. I've figured out that some breathing techniques work better for me and certainly some environments work better for me. While it can be adorable to have my cat begging for attention during my attempted meditation, it typically doesn't lead to the best session. So, I try to meditate with some space between us when I can. 😃 So far I haven't been too surprised by what I've seen based on how I'm feeling, but I really like being able to keep track of all of that data and seeing how it has changed and will change over time. The app also has a lot of other nice features to help encourage consistent practices and mindfulness beyond just the immediate session. It's a silly easy thing, but I really like the notifications I set through the app to remind myself to meditate. I have a bit of a problem with goofing off way too late into the night, so I set nightly reminders encouraging myself to meditate. I don't always listen to these notifications, but when I do I certainly sleep better. The app also encourages journaling how your session went, which I've been enjoying way more than I thought I would. I've never been too big into journaling, but here I am continuing to write after a session. Maybe I'm learning new things about myself? Okay, enough rambling. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking to get into meditation or anyone who already likes it, but would like a guide of sorts to help them explore it further. Hope this helps!

It’s great
The orb is a great a personal wellness tool that has significantly improved my ability to manage anxiety. As someone who sometimes have racing thoughts and overwhelming emotions, I've found it to be a reliable companion. The device's beautiful design make it easy to use, even for tech novices like myself. It works by biofeedback, by tracking signals from my fingers as I hold it, it provides real-time insights into my stress levels by showing changing colors. This awareness of how to make the colors change has been incredibly empowering. I also really like the guided exercises in the app. I like the woman's voice and the soothing music that help me relax and focus. While the orb isn't a miracle cure it has definitely enhanced my well-being. It's a tool that I can rely on to practice with and have available when I’m feeling especially anxious. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a practical and effective way to improve their mental health.

Not working, very frustrating
I really want it to work. Very buggy not syncing. This device supposed to help you relax, it is giving me frustration. Updates 2026-03-23 Problem solved, the company found a bug in the app and issue an update. The orb is now wooing as expected. 3 stars Update 2026-03-30 Very buggy device. The device can not keep the time, sessions sync with wrong timestamps. Seems like the clock in the device stop ticking right after the last sync. The battery indicator is useless and reports wrong value. Down to 2 stars

Incredibly frustrating
I'm not sure what my stress levels were before, but I'm pretty sure they're very high now. I was really hoping this would help with my son's anxiety but it was nothing but an extremely frustrating experience. The Bluetooth connectivity is abysmal, and the light just spins and spins. I managed to get it connected a couple times but every time I navigated to a different tab in the app, it would require me to connect again. Then, when trying to use it, the device would work for a minute, but if you let go for a second, the light would just spin blue. The power button does literally nothing, and when you plug it in to charge, the light blinks very bright white, which is annoying on a nightstand. And, I'm a software engineer, so it's not like I'm not savvy with technology. I love the idea of a biofeedback device, but this one is so poorly designed, I wouldn't pay $20 for it, let alone $200.

Amazing design, great biofeedback - great tool!
I have ADHD, and finding tools that actually help me calm down and focus is no small thing. This Orb has been one of the few that truly makes a difference. The soft lights are incredibly soothing, and the real-time biofeedback gives me something tangible to focus on - something I didn't know I needed until I had it. It's beautifully designed, feels great in the hand, and the packaging is just so pretty and cool! The whole experience feels thoughtful and intentinal. Using it regularly has helped me build awareness and tools I can take into the rest of my day - like emotional training wheels. My only tiny note is that pairing it with the app was a bit tricky the first time, but once it was connected, it worked like a charm ever since. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, grounding, effective tool!!

Meditation in the palm of your hand
I bought this because I’ve been feeling pretty consistently stressed and wanted something more interactive than another app. What surprised me is how helpful the biofeedback is. Seeing the lights shift while I’m breathing or trying to calm down gives me immediate insight into what’s actually happening in my body and what’s working. It turns my stress/de-stressing into something measurable and less abstract. The device itself feels premium. I didn’t expect it to be soft, which I really like. After a few weeks of using it, I’m more aware of what actually helps me regulate.

So much potential, so much invasion of privacy
Doesn't quite work right, in the way. I would like it to. And the amount of data you have to give the app before you can get it to work is ridiculous. I understand they make money on the back end selling the information, but maybe you could make a device to help people relax and meditate and not sell their data? Data? Is that too much to ask? It seems like those ethics would align. This is a really good idea, poorly executed. Assemble device that would return some of your biological data in the form of lights, your O2 level, your heart rate, and would prompt you to meditate would be amazing. I doubt anyone will make it so simple.

Easy to use !!!
About two weeks in, and I am very happy with the Reflect. I have tried a few biofeedback devices for reducing stress and anxiety, and the Reflect is the easiest to use and most responsive. The accompanying app is great, and its dashboard makes it easy to track progress and maintain regularity in the timing of my sessions. I am still experimenting with breathing and environment factors (sound or no sound, sitting or reclining, etc.), and the simplicity of the design accommodates whatever I have tried so far. And it looks so nice, I don't mind leaving it out - almost like a little sculpture placed intentionally on the coffee table. --

Don't waste your money
I should have taken more notice of the negative reviews for this device but I wanted it to work. However like many others it refused to pair in this case with my laptop. I spent quite some time trying to understand how to get it to work but nothing was successful. I have given up and packed it away in its box. I don't think I can return it, it came from the USA so it will end up in the rubbish. It seems to me that it would have been so much better if this was a standalone device with the option of using an app.

More useful than I thought
Not that I was sceptical on whether it would work, but I was sceptical on how much value it would add. Both my wife and already meditate on and off. Where this has helped us is training the body and mind on focusing on the specific feelings/visualizations/steps to relax the body and mind. In this way, I am training my body and mind to remain calm while I am still living life (as opposed to just relaxing while meditating). It is a good training tool and I'm glad I took a chance on this. I would assume the same could be said about any biofeedback device, which gives active and real time feedback. I do like the texture and shape of this. It's fun to hold, comfortable and I would recommend it.
