Remarkably useful tool
I do a lot of home repair and furniture building and I've never found a nail puller that works this well. This is truly a remarkable product. I've used all manner of nail pulling devices over the last few decades and nothing rivals these pliers. Pro: Pulls 18 gauge trim nails from standard 3/4 inch red oak with ease. I've had issues with 5/4 oak (1 inch thick) - more on that below. If you can get a grip on the nail with the jaws, these pliers will pull the nail 98% of the time. Far better than using diagonal cutters or pry bars because cutters cut small finish nails and pry bars slip Well build, very solid, great grip Lots of leverage - will pull 18 gauge finish pin nails or 16 penny framing nails. Great for pulling nails from the back of trim work - preserves the lumber/trim for future use Remarkably inexpensive Con These pullers are bailed me out dozens of times when my Makita 18 gauge finish nailer misfires and the only time I've ever had an issue was with 5/4 red oak (5/4 wood is a full 1 inch thick). The 18 gauge pin nails just snap. But that's a rare occasion because I only use 5/4 hardwood lumber for unique applications. Otherwise, these plier/pullers work as advertised. Great product - can't go wrong with these in your box.

Pulling nails? BUY IT! It's an amazing tool
I have a LOT of tools. If I need a tool for a project I do some research and buy it. I hadn't used one of these before but it looked like a good design, and I own quite a few Crescent tools. All I can say is this is the best tool over for pulling nails. I've used it for demo work, remodeling, tearing apart pallets for disposal, and it just keeps working and working. It's very quick to use and I haven't met a nail yet I couldn't pull with this thing. If you're going to be pulling nails for a project do yourself a favor and just buy it! Wish I'd found it a few decades earlier.

This tool is excellent! A must-have for demo and remodeling work to prevent wood damage and to help you save time.
I bought these to use in tearing down an old house. The house was full of old ship-lap lumber in the walls, teardrop wood siding, tongue and groove ceilings and floors, etc. that I am using in my house remodel. What isn't used will be sold for reclaimed wood to other folks with similar projects. This kind of aged lumber is valuable, but anyone that's ever gutted an old house knows how difficult it can be to get the wood out without tearing it all to pieces. A cats paw-type pry bar and framing hammer is what I was using at first. That leaves gouges in the wood, is more likely to chip out, and is not very fast. With these specialty pliers I can pull down a board and have all of the nails out in a couple of minutes, with much less damage to the wood than with any other tool I've tried. They just work. If any part of the nail is sticking out 1/16" of an inch or so, it's coming out. It does a much better job and can get to nails that a framing hammer or even a thin pry bar can't. And it doesn't mar the wood nearly as much either. You still have some tear-out around some of the nail holes, but that is to be expected with nails and wood that have been in place for 80+ years. It's less tear-out than with the other tools I was using. These pliers paid for themselves in the first 10 minutes in just the lumber saved and cut the time in half of pulling and de-nailing a board.

Great little tool!
This is a great little tool for pulling nails out. I use it together with my nail remover gun to pull nails out of pallets that I disassemble. It’s been a game changer for sure. It’s so much easier to use than the claws on a hammer cause it gets better leverage and angles. I also love that even if a nail head breaks off, these will still grab the nail and pull it out. They are a good size, about a foot long, but I wish they opened a little wider so I could grip onto some of the bigger nails (when fully open, the just fit over an average size nail head). Also wish the handles were longer to give just a little more leverage against the bigger nails.

One of the best tools for pulling out nails or staples
I’m glad they gave me the latest design this tool makes it easier to pull out nails and electrical staples from studs, it works a lot better than a hammer or an end nipper especially when the head of the nail snaps off

Great Nail Puller
I ordered this one after taking delivery of another one, which I returned, as it was poorly made. This one the teeth on the gripper was really cut great, The half roll on the top was smooth and level all the way across the surface. I would buy this again.

Works!
This gets the job done. Makes pulling old rusty nails out of my 50 year old cedar siding a breeze. I wish I had bought it sooner.

Brilliant tool
Absolutely brilliant tool for removing nail and even screws. Well worth the price and wait as shipped from the USA. Nothing else like it available here in the UK for some reason! Im recycling old timber and did a lot of research to find the ultimate tool and this is it....simple and bullet proof build. One thing I like is that when you pull a nail it doesn't shoot out and disappear it stays gripped between the jaws for easy disposal. Expect them to last a lifetime!!

Toujours utile, parfois indispensable
Indispensable quand on a besoin de retirer un clou, pas adapté aux clous de charpente cependant

The only tool that worked.
This is the only tool that successfully helped me remove 3 inch, galvanised twist nails from reclaimed Douglas fir beams (well over 50 years old) that had all the heads cut off and had been hammered flush with the surface of the timber. Up until buying these, nothing I tried would budge a single nail; not even a mm! It was still a lot of effort, and I had to drill around the shanks with a cheap plug cutter so I could get a grip, as well as heat the shanks with a mini blow torch so I could loosen the grip that decades of seasonal change and twisted shank had guaranteed the little bastards we’re locked in tight. But… they worked! I removed well over 100 nails from 8 beams. I was lucky enough to find a couple of standard bullet head nails along the way and they were a breeze to pull out. The only thing I would have liked was the handles to be around 200mm longer to provide a longer lever and reduce the effort. I have another 15-20 beams to go and this little guy will be put through its paces once again. For what it did and the price I highly recommend it.
