This fan works great
Used to replace my CPU cooling fan. It runs so slow with such little noise that I had to keep checking to make sure it was running. It speeds up when needed but it's still really quite and provides good airflow to keep everything within its proper heat range. Good price for a nice quality fan.

Good cooling and decent noise level.
I needed a front fan for a Dell Optiplex 5050 SFF that could push a decent amount of air into the chassis due to a overheating Graphic card. This little ARCTIC P8 Max does a good job and are cooling the whole system to a new level. At lower speed the fan is pretty silent, but a 3000+ RPM this get a bit noisy, but still good value for the price.

Great little fan.
This is a great little fan. I got it to keep my ram cool and it does it's job splendidly. It can get loud at 100%, but I don't have a reason to have it that high. I currently have it at 50%, and you can hear it a bit at that level, but not much. Playing around with it, you can get it whisper quite at around 30-40%, and at that level it is still very effective. No complaints.

They do what they were designed to do. Choose wisely.
These fans are optimized to blow more than a normal amount of air into a restricted path. At that, and only that, they succeed. I have four of them, and they all have the same pros and cons: The pros: 1) If used as an exhaust or an unfiltered intake fan, they move a better than normal amount of air. You can feel the difference on your hand. 2.) They are almost as quiet as a normal Arctic fan. 3.) They are inexpensive. The cons: 1) They don't suck through a filter very well at all. In fact, they are worse than a normal Arctic fan in that setup. 2) At high speed, they have an annoying high-pitched whine. 3) Like the rest of their Arctic brethren, they are fragile. You'd better use a pair of grill guards with each. Internal wire or external finger, if contact is made, you will lose a blade. Maybe even some blood, these things are sharp. Having said all of that, I like them.I use them wherever I need a fan blowing into a restricted space or I need more air in an unfiltered location. In a usage case where you need these exact parameters, they'll do fine. But at this price point, there are 80mm fans that are either quieter or move more air (but not both.) So as the headline suggests, choose wisely. Just inspect them upon arrival and treat them gently and you'll be fine.

A big bang for the buck!
Excellent performance (up to 40 cfm) , quiet , low power consumption even at 5000 RPM.

Fixed a mini-frig
Used this to reply the failing one in a mini-frig of my wifes. I needed to combine this with a PWM controller board since it got the mini-frig too cold and would icy up a bit...plus at full speed it makes a lot of noise.

If you've got a slot in your case for this fan put it in no regrets
Back in my day this would be considered a full size case fan. Now it's a novelty size amongst the large fans however it does move air especially when used as an exhaust for smaller micro ATX cases. And accept screws well and it's very well measured out in terms of positioning and cable management. I'm very pleased and how quiet it is to the point that I almost have forgotten there is one in the case

Some quirks and issues
Had this for a while now. At full speed, it sounds like a server fan but not as loud as a server fan if you catch my drift. It's LOUD but not too annoying. One issue I had was that at full speed, it's so sensitive that the fan blades hit the fan's outer ring or edges and sounded like a scratching sound. I thought it was defective so I returned it and received a replacement but seems like it was designed that way. The material quality is really bad. I find that it Okie for a few days but when it gets warmed up inside of the case, the fan as a whole possibly gets soft it can easily take a new shape and then the fan blades start hitting the edges In addition, I plugged it into my m/b, and at full speed, it's around 4200 RPM, so not really running 5k. Not sure what that's about. Anyway, three stars on my book. One thing it did well is that it cooled my CSE-846 ~2 degrees lower and I'm speaking of HDD temps. This is currently set up as my rear fans. Updated: 1 Star, this fan performs REALLY well and performs almost as well as a server fan. It blows so much air that no other 80x25 fan can compete. I thought the fan was just defective but unfortunately, due to building materials and two returns (bought in pairs, all 4 had issues mentioned above). Therefore, I updated my review.

Installed onto the CPU Cooler without any problems, and manages to keep my Ryzen 7 1700 under 80°c at full load for hours on end. Overall, a very solid fan for a 65W CPU
