A: I believe it was AA, but it was for my grandson and I don't have it handy. and, by the way, he loved it!

**Q: How do I reconnect the remote control to the car?**
A: Make sure both car and remote are on and batteries are good in both as well and that should work. If not likely defective you may want to try and exchange. Hope this helps
