You can also pick the audio and it has aux audio out to run the variable audio to an amp or avr. The aux audio has a volume level control which is huge. I am also using 1:4 Jtech splitters going into this unit without any trouble (and splitting the output), where I want to send a signal both to this box and other displays. This is useful to be able to show sources 2-4 full size on another display while youโ€™re using this box to show 4 sources, because the display modes are a bit fixedโ€ฆ you canโ€™t for example show source 2 as the big portion with sources 1, 3, and 4 as the small side screens. Some other passive 2 in 1 out splitters into this didnโ€™t play well, so my .02 if youโ€™re going to work with a bunch of splitters in or out use the 4k jtech splitters or powered 4k switches. My only real issue is the remote isnโ€™t great and itโ€™s critical to run the box. So I bought a couple cheap all-button learning remotes and are using them, keeping the original safe. Can one of the output devices be off and still have the HDMI signal go through to other?** A: I have turned off one device and it still works. But... my Lenovo W520 running Win 7 Pro doesn't like the transition and throws all windows to the primary display (argh). For clarification, I have 1) laptop screen, 1 dvi screen, 1 dvi to splitter for final 2 screens. Turning off one of the screens on the splitter results in this rearranging of my windows but all but the monitor that was turned off still are working. I just have to move my windows from the primary display to where they were. I suspect this happens because windows see a moment where no monitors are there and auto arranges everything back to what it thinks is visible desktop space. **Q: if one tv is 720P and other is 1080P, if the 720P tv is powered off will the 1080P tv receive a 1080P signal?** A: You might have to go into settings and adjust the signal received going from 720 to 1080. **Q: Can this device split the HDMI signal from a 3D Blu-ray player to a 3D LED TV and a 5.1 non-3D receiver? If yes, will the receiver produce 5.1 audio?** A: Im not sure I will say that I had to convert from a surround Blue ray / dvd system to a very basic DVD player just due to the audio components wasn't compatible to the tv system in which the blue ray required but with what I have im getting great audio **Q: Will this work if one of my output cables is an hdmi to dvi cable??** A: Dear MarshThank you for the inquiry.
