Is the Pyle PT510 240 Watt Amplifier a good receiver to use with this. I want to put sound in many rooms in my office.

I run much more powerful Mcintosh power amps (along with ADC SS-III EQ, Fluance RT-85 Turntable, 3-Reel-to-Reel decks, etc.) I have 3 pairs of Klipsch Speakers and (2) 12" Klipsch subwoofers, all split between two rooms, on this speaker control system. It is definitely the way to go for multi-speaker and/or multi location speaker systems. My only complaint is that the control only accepts a maximum 14 gage wire. I have 8 &10 gage cables so I used a specially rigged kind of 'cable-cap' on the end of each cable that would allow me to insert the small 14 gage coupler blocks. Other than that, the control works great and your 240W Pyle would have no problems.

Does this have impedance protection - control against low ohms driving multiple speakers?

The last few pages of manual shows impedance of turning on combinations of speakers  It is the amp that needs to be 4 ohm stable, I have a Denon AVR 3300 and AVR 2500.  The more speakers active, the lower the impedance, (ohms Law) and the more power needed from the amp  According to Crutchfield, we need a 4 ohm stable amp, and the Denon family provides overload protection, and the Denon amps have a 8 ohm (default) and a4 ohm setting

I already fried an Onkyo amp, running all the speakers at once, for an extended period.

Ok, I bought the PT510 amplifier, and the PSPVC6 speaker selector, but not sure how to connect them together. Can anyone help?

Ok I'm going to try and keep it simple. Normally, once the amp is connected the 'sound' travels out of the red/white or left/right speaker connectors that are attached then to the speaker system. In your case, think of the speaker box as a 'conjunction' (like the words 'and/ but' in a sentence)..so just connect the 'speaker out' on your amp to the 'speaker in' on the speaker selector box...then connect the speaker box to the 6 speakers...be ready with a small flat head screw driver to open each the speaker connection ports...it's a bit more tedious but assures a professional non clip in/out connection...good luck...and make sure every thing is off to avoid 'blowing out' of the speakers and/or unit.
