Used for holding pieces together when welding polygonal models. Makes life a lot easier.

Purchased as a present for someone else, but will probably get some for myself as they are way better than some I got on eBay. Magnets are strong and they sit well on flat steel. I have some c clamps by Strong Hand and and they make good quality tools.

Great little tools! Really handy The hindge are set to just the right tightness that they are easy to move yet hold work firm. One of magnets fell out but others are solid and it glued back in after little bit of fiddling. Would have been 5 stars if not

Brilliant tool, I've used these to hold bolts heads on one side while going round the other side to put the nut on, will be buying more of these.

Anybody that welds should have these you regret buying them

I bought these to hold items in place when welding/brazing smaller or fiddly pieces of steel. However, if the magnets are too close to the heated area you will quickly destroy the magnetic properties - as I did. Probably just my lack of understanding 😕 So, if you're buying for this sort of use, keep this in mind or you'll ruin them - fast. Magnet strength was fine for my needs.

Not as strong as advertised wouldn't hold a piece of 25mm angle not even 150mm long at an angle of 40 degrees or any degrees there just to weak and the magnet doesn't even connect to the surface of the metal in some places! All I can imagine using them for would be holding very small tabs that would be it! I can honestly say I am really disappointed as I have a grasshopper but the same manufacturer and that works great hence why so disappointed

Good tool for the kit. The add shows the many uses. These are strong magnets - Just be careful not to ruin them with welding heat. Use to position, Tack weld your parts then remove. I forgot 1 was on a inside corner and Tig welded right over it. Now it's a pretty weak magnet- that's my fault. Hoping to "recharge it" - we'll see how it holds tomorrow. >> Not the magnets fault !
