This way the water can't freeze all of the way and the ice is flexible. After use, I just put it back in the freezer for the next use. The freezing process doesn't seem to hurt the liner of the bag, because it has not leaked at all. **Q: Is this product made in the USA?** A: taiwan......this type of product made in usa would cost 2-3 times this amount....thank you..... **Q: How do you dry the inside after use?** A: As many other customers have shared, leaving the top off and putting it upside down on a dish drying rack is the best option for letting the inside dry out. **Q: Mine is leaking through fabric? As it turns out it was also great with hot water ( not from the kettle) as the inside is plastic lined and I was concerned it may melt.
