I brought these on a recent family camping trip and they ended up being one of the highlights of the night. You just toss one of the packets into the fire and within a minute the flames start changing colors. We saw blues, greens, and purples mixed into the fire which looked really cool once it got going. Each packet lasted a decent amount of time and worked well in a regular wood campfire. A couple small tips: • Works best once you already have a good hot fire going. • Keep the packets dry until you use them. Overall this was a fun little camping upgrade and I will definitely bring them again on future trips. Expected much better…Just blue and green for the entire box and they never lasted more than a handful of seconds. Tried them in the coals and ontop of the wood and no difference. Definitely not worth it
