We love it! Bought it for the "handles". Very sturdy. Easy to put the handles on. That is the only assembly required. We are 75 yrs old and feel safe on it. Non slip steps. Easy to use. Not too heavy to carry. Folds nicely. Price is good also.

I have a four step ladder but it's a bit heavy. So I am keeping it on the first floor of my townhouse. I wanted something solid but lighter for the second and third floors. I read reviews for several on Amazon. This step ladder works really well. I feel safe using the handles. It feels solid. I needed something to reach my upper cabinets, change lightbulbs, and smoke detector batteries. So far, I feel very safe on this ladder. But as always I am careful going up and down the steps & paying attention. And it folds and stores in a space between my refrigerator and the wall so I can easily pull it out. It was fairly easy to put together but read the instructions! I did it myself. I am 69 years old and not to terribly handy with tools but I did it. I am keeping the instructions and tools to periodically check it in case the handles need adjustment or tightening.

Some assembly required - all hardware included along with a pair of Allen wrenches. All major components, side rails and top hand rail are protected with foam tubes. The top rail has two black foam pieces of tubing to protect ends. They slide off easily. The ladder legs that receive the top rail are protected by a plastic cap with a flat washer inside to keep the cap safe in transit. Toss the washer in your spare parts dish. Assembly is straight forward. Pros: Very sturdy, rails are handy and the ladder locks in place easily. Cons: It's a bit heavier than expected and probably could have done well with three steps instead to save weight. Not sure how easily this stepladder will work for smaller persons or the more frail. Reaching for the latch when folding is also a bit of a reach. I am still fairly tall these days but need to tilt the ladder back toward myself, and when it unlatches, the back legs can be in free fall - watch for pinching conditions. Finally, could wish it was made of aluminum rather than steel, but that's another thing again. We have an six foot aluminum step ladder with a similar latching mechanism - same long reach to unlatch and back leg free fall. Like touching a hot stove, one is more careful next time. As for storage this stepladder folds to a package, in inches, 20 across by 9 deep by 69 tall; so measure your proposed storage space. If a second similar need came up I would buy again. All in all very pleased with this purchase.

The product is exactly what I was hoping for. I ordered the 3-stepper and it's ideal for a house with a standard ceiling height. Installation took less than 1/2 hour. It included a step by step single instruction sheet with pictures. The parts needed were all accounted for and labeled. I have metal cabinets in my garage with boxes and items on top. I was worried as I got older how I was going to take those things down and voila! this ladder with the handle bars on the side was my savior. Also, the bar on top where you lean against holds you steady enough so that you have no issues balancing. This item will also come in handy when cleaning ceiling fans, hanging pictures, grabbing stuff from the top kitchen cabinets, etc. And, lets don't forget the handy-dandy tool carrier that you can place over the top handle bar for easy access. Excellent if you have balance problems. Sturdy and useful.

As we have aged using regular step ladders has been a bit scarier. We seen this deal and decided to get one. We are glad we did. It is so sturdy and with the safety rails and tool pouch it is ideal for around the house projects. We have ceiling fans in every room with cathedral ceilings. So much easier to use this vs a 8’ step ladder I have had to dig out of the garage. I’m also a big guy about 285 and it holds me without a problem.

One of the best purchases I have ever made. It is sturdy and I feel safe hanging plants or curtains. Wish I had bought it years ago.

This is a great ladder/ step stool. It's the perfect set up for most dying home maintenance projects. Changing light bulbs, washing walls, cabinets. High shelfs, hanging Christmas decorations. The side rails are super. The little tool pouch is a handy little bonus. I debated with myself about getting this. Now I can't believe I got along so long without it. It is very stable as well.

Love this ladder. I read a lot of negative reviews but it is light enough for practically anyone to pack around with ease all the parts line up perfectly and the bolts are very strong enough. People were saying the instructions were hard to follow but who needs instructions as it was so simple to put together without any instructions. This is a 5+ star ladder.
