EDIT: This was a $50 mistake for me. So I am passing my sadder but wiser information along to you: DO NOT TRY TO MAKE DATE SUGAR OUT OF THESE or out of any other brand of dried dates sold to be eaten as is. They have oil on their skins, which keeps them soft and supple. But they cannot be sufficiently dried to be ground into date sugar. Yeah, you can drive them until there is hardest they’re going to get, and then add a sufficient amount of cornstarch to each cup of your dates and put them into a food processor. But the oil is still there whether you see it or not, and the date sugar combining with the oil makes for a horrible, sticky mess. My next attempt will be to purchase the dates that come already chopped up to be put into things that you’re baking. I checked the ingredients list and there’s only one thing in them: dates! I’ll try powdering those, but I will probably have to dehydrate them even further first. I like sending money but it turns out date sugar isn’t all that much more money than buying the dates and doing it yourself. Bummer! Not a pit in all 6 lbs. Excellent taste. I am a first time customer, but this company will be my “ go to “ from now on. I am dehydrating the dates to make date sugar with them. But will probably keep some for snacking and desserts. The package says 2 dates = only 10 carbs! That is my kind of sweet treat.

Excellent dates! As another reviewer stated, the consistency of texture is higher than other dates, in my experience, the dates from Tunsania, which are still pretty good. According to the packaging they are a product of the United States, which may contribute to their freshness. They are, indeed, better than candy, both in amount of sweetness and flavor, not to mention nutritional value.

Excellent dates. My undesirable experience with many other brands has been variable consistency of the dates; some chewy and some overly dried and some even not ripe enough. But this one had dates of very similar nice chewy consistency and moisture. The product is also reasonably priced. I also liked it because the dates were US-grown.

Delicious dates. High quality package. I liked everything except for the fact that I found a piece of pit. I'm afraid to give it to my child and I have to look at each piece very carefully because you can damage your teeth if you bite on a pit. Aside from the pit issue I think it's a good product.

Perhaps the 3rd or 4th time I am purchasing this brand of pitted dates. I love the juicy, sweet fruit. Consistent flavor and freshness. Their size varies a bit, but usually large and a proper mouthful. Haven't come across a pit so far!

I purchased 6 lbs. of Deglet dates on March 8, 2025, Lot Code 2525101. I found that more than 60% of the dates were extremely dry and unfit to eat. I order Deglet dates again, which I received a few days ago. I just opened one of the bags Lot Code 2531101 and to my surprise I found out many of the dates were extremely hard and dry. All the other products I bought from Terrasoul have always been very good, so I suspect the problem is quality control. Amendment. To be fair: I checked the contents in full, and found the few dry dates were an exception. So I will change my review.

Taste good but on the small side. I like to stuff my dates with nut butters, but these are too small to do this.

These are my favorite snack that I don't have to feel guilty eating! These are delicious!
