I’ve used the tester to check the brake fluid in my car it gave me a reading of 2.3 % which suggests I should change the fluid, seeing the car is 5 years old is about right. I then tested it on fresh brake fluid and it gave me a much lower reading, on the results of both tests I will have the brake fluid changed at my next service. Brake fluid is one of those things we tend to forget about, but it looses its effectiveness with age, and it’s not part of my annual service, you have ask to have it done, and pay for it.

It's ideal tool to explain whether you need to spend your money on a brake fluid change, coat £15 and saved me a £90 fluid change. the only reason you change brake fluid oils is either particle contamination, which cannot happen in most cars under 7 years old, or water moisture absorption which builds up over time. so this device tells you the specific percentage moisture level with enough accuracy to be meaningful. Great way to make decisions and save money with risking any safety issues

Look at your owner's manual for guidance on service intervals for a brake flush as well. This tool is easy to use, it appears accurate when tested against other tools, and is reasonably made of quality material. Is to use as far as functionality, turn it on, and select the fluid type which is stamped on the master cylinder cap or your owner's manual fluids section. (Dot 4 or 5) Remove the cap on the master cylinder and insert the tool into the fluid reservoir, and it will show you a result and beep if needing replacement.

Ho acquistato questo prodotto per curiosità, l' ho usato una sola volta confrontando l' olio nuovo nel barattolo appena acquistato e quello che avevo nella vaschetta del mio scooter. Sembra aver soddisfatto a pieno le mie aspettative

Je viens de faire un essai dans mon bol d'alimentation des freins (et embrayage ) . Aucun soucis (1.3 % ) d'humidité . en DOT 4 . Le stylo autorise trois types de liquides de frein ;appuyer sur la touche bleue ,après avoir allumer le stylo (touche rouge ) Suivant le pourcentage d'humidité ça allume en rouge, en jaune, ou en vert ; En rouge aller vite changer le liquide et purger ; en jaune -attention ,à surveiller ; en vert -pas de problème particulier ! Très bien fait , fonctionne vraiment bien . J'ai fais des essais sur un sopalin humidifié et le stylo a marqué plus de 4% en rouge !! excellant produit .
