This thing worked wonders on my S550 Mustang
In the description of this product it states that this doesnโt fit nor work for the mustang. I can confirm that this USB worked for my 2016 Mustang Ecoboost. I did unofficially update my car from Sync 3 to Sync 3.4 and this worked as soon as I plugged it into my wire harness for the USB. Just make sure youโre running something newer than 3.0 Sync. Iโm able to use the Type C port on my iPhone 15 Pro Max without any issues. Would absolutely recommend especially for the cost compared to OEM prices for this small upgrade.

Added CarPlay to Our Ford Expedition
We have an Expedition that was the year before CarPlay was added. Found out that our Sync version would allow for CarPlay but it needed a different USB port. This one allowed us to get CarPlay but also added USB C support. It has been working now for months without issue. Excellent upgrade!

2016 Ford Escape now has CarPlay!
Initially I was skeptical about doing this process on my own. With a little research I was able to update my Sync to the newest version 3.4 and it then prompted me to replace the USB hub. This part was easy to install and was compatible with with my system AFTER the update in software all I needed was a small flat head screwdriver! Super easy and would definitely recommend.

Was not supported with 3.1 I updated to 3.3 sync and still wasnโt supported. Returning and going to try again or try a different seller.

Instantly fixed CarPlay
I updated Sync to the latest version and lost Apple CarPlay in my 2016 Ford Expedition. This instantly fixed the USB not supported error and Everything works flawlessly now. Also updated my old usb to usb-c and usb 3.1 which was a nice bonus.

Works in my Mustang GT
I installed the upgrade to Sync 3.4 in my 2015 Mustang GT to get Apple CarPlay. The hub/port worked but it did not fit the hole inside the armrest. It flopped around in the armrest compartment. So I ordered this. It fit perfectly and works great!
