This is my fourth Ukulele and all four are KALA brand. I am no expert when it comes to instruments, but this Uke is beautifully constructed and easy to play right out of the box. I have been researching and watching this Uke for the past six months. I just thought $369 was too much for me to spend on a Uke. However, I caught it on sale for $300 and could not resist. I love the look, feel, and sound of this Acacia Tenor. I did not give it five stars for one reason. Last week I went to a music store to fiddle around and I picked up a Martin Tenor - Holy Cow! Tuned it up. Played a few chords. Disappointment. Sound was muted and soft. My $50 Makala played better!Then it hit me. Why didn't I notice earlier? These weren't Aquila Nylgut strings as described in the product description! Ordered some new Aquila strings. Three days later, restrung the uke. Tuned it up. Played a few chords and was extremely happy! That's what a $380 uke should sound like! Blew my Makala out of the water.So, five stars for the Kala uke. Three stars for the seller. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Got the Kala gloss ukulele looks and sounds very much like KA-ASC-T. The neck and fingerboard are too narrow for my fingers. I have tried a cheap Kaka tenor. This sounds SO MUCH BETTER. I also have a Oscar Schmidt baritone with D'Addario EJ88B strings. I'm not sure I like this combination. It sounds a lot like a tenor guitar.Anyway I have ordered a Kala gloss and hope this works.
