Review: model viking settlement/usborne cut-out - As a 73 years young disabled man with hand and finger problems I found this model quite brilliant. It was totally absorbing and had me thinking about how these people lived a thousand years ago. I would stress however that it was far from easy and will really stretch the ability of younger children (under 12 years). I have two more of these Usborne models in progress and I will give them to a local junior school on completion for I cannot think of a better way of getting the kids interested in history. The biggest bonus for me is that making these models beats the hell out of the electric shock treatment that I hated having and produces much more relief.
Review: Great model at a reasonable price - My 9 year old daughter loved making this for a school project. It did take probably 20 or more hours over a couple of weeks and she needed adult help with some of the more tricky bits, but all good fun and she was extremely proud of the result. A great piece of kit at a very reasonable price. We will definitely look at buying another.
