It was difficult to find a shoe that had gold hatdware. I have never purchased a dressy shoe that was not leather or faux leather but this shoe was surprisingly dressy and comfortable. The material was very comfortable and the shoe runs true to size. The rubber material is great and came soft out of the box. I didn't have to break them in and earn the terrible blisters of new flats. However, because they are smooth rubber they don't provide much grip; so beware if your feet get wet (i.e. - walking in the rain or sweating from 100 degree heat). On the upside of this, they're completely waterproof and can simply be wiped off - coming completely clean - and returned to your foot. Not to mention they are absolutely adorable, I get compliments on them every time I wear them.
