I like this tubing flare tool, it is made pretty heavy duty and seems to function as it should, it works different than the other flaring tool I have in regards to the fact that it is off set and sort of an elliptical style flaring tip on the actual compression part of the tool. I can say that one down side is it will only do a single flare and not a double you'll need to purchase a different type tool to do both like for certain car brake lines, they are more or less roll flared and this cannot do that. However with that said for a single flare and a wide range of sizes this is real hard to beat, it has a broad range of sizes that most can't cover which is a winner for me plus for compression fittings in plumbing this thing is the bomb, real nice and wide flares that turn out real nice every time. Yes I would recommend for most budget plumbing flares you cannot go wrong with this set it's well made and nice and solid and does a good job, as for auto repairs I might recommend a different style. Over all worth the money.

Really well built tool an it comes with all the needed accessories and the all fit in the case. This flaring tool is for making single flares like you would use in plumbing, air conditioning, or home heating oil lines. This tool is not for automotive brake lines which need to be double flared, it is not only unsafe to use a single flare on an auto brake line it is illegal just like using compression fittings on automotive brake lines is illegal and unsafe. You could legally use a single flare (I wouldn't but you could) or a compression fitting for transmission lines. This tool makes very well formed single flares in a variety of sizes that should cover most of your plumbing and AC needs. Mine didn't come with any directions at all but I've used enough double flaring tools to be able to figure it out pretty easily but it would have been nice to have directions for those with less experience. The tubing cutter is pretty good quality and the deburring tool worked well and the case is nice. For the price it's a good deal and a pretty good quality tool.
