Cute little mug, I ordered this one as a replacement for my last one that died after a trip through the dishwasher. This one holds a spot in my heart within my collection of mugs, mainly because of how much I love the simplicity and execution of the design. It's very reminiscent of the Legend of Zelda heart, though I suppose it could apply to any pixel heart design in gaming. Good mug, works like you'd expect it to. The color-change dye is rather responsive and resilient, so long as you keep it out of the dishwasher! Very important that doesn't happen, otherwise the dye gets overwhelmed and loses its color-change capability. Still, I won't fault this mug for that flaw since it was entirely my fault lol. Great gift, and great for coffee/tea/cocoa/whatever else. I sometimes like to use mugs for holding milk while I eat cookies. Good stuff.

Tested this out when I received it - only once, but here's what happened: Even though the water I poured into it was boiling hot, the green part turned up green but the parts that are supposed to show up light green instead show up kinda light pink. Since the mug was actually rather cold to the touch before I poured the water in, I thought maybe it just didn't heat the mug enough. So now that the mug was hot to the touch, I tried dumping out the first mug of hot water and re-filling it with boiling hot water again to see if it would get the light pink parts to turn the rest of the way into green. It didn't make much difference. However, when the mug cooled off, the battery did go all the way back to black so that was good. It's still really cool to watch it change colors so drastically and watch the color change rise from the bottom of the battery to the top, but the final result didn't end up looking the way the box showed. I don't know if I just got a defective one or if they're all problematic in green mode, but if they hadn't tried to make it multiple shades of green to create the light glare effect, it probably would've worked really well.

It's totally adorable and works well but when I first opened it the protective coating was already peeling and since then has peeled further, without me touching it with much more than hot water. For such an expensive mug I expected better quality, however it is still worth it for such a cool mug

Do not accidentally run in the Dishwasher - it will mess this up so badly. Beyond that, I love getting coffee in my Keurig because it slowly fills the coffee mug with hot water and I get to watch it change. The cute little animals just make me happy. The coffee mug isn't too hot to the touch and functions great. Love it. Best present for a coffee lover

I'm not sure if I should give it 1 star, but I wanted to have the atention of the potential buyers, since I saw other reviewers complaining that this was fake but since I have bought more than 15 mugs (I love to give this as a gift :D ) over the past years I wasn't worried so I bought as I usually do. So I was looking for a name...a seller name not to buy from, and none of the reviewers who was the seller, so in my case it was "CARDNSUCH" ... so my advise is not to buy from them until I figure out was going on. The mugs are great! I know that this is a product review, I already reviewed the seller, but I think this is more helpful. Update 06/08/2014 So I bought another mug, from a different seller...I know I know, I should have learned my lesson, and I got another replica this time the seller was "Handysmart".

We love this mug! The temp on the heart still works after a year of use and the mug is still in mint condition (no staining or peeling of the heart). The mug doesn't retain heat as much as I would like but I'm pretty sure that is standard for this style of mug and not a fault of the manufacturer. I would recommend this mug to anyone else looking for something fun and neat that actually works and will continue to work.

I checked it over to make sure it was dishwasher safe but I didn’t see anything so I put it through the dishwasher to clean it before using it. I took it out and the design had melted a bit.

We tested it and it does work with the microwave (it also didn't seem to damage it) But we're now a tad scared to use it too much, since the box says not to put it in it. It's a lovely mug though.

Che dire? Tazza termosensibile con batteria verde che sale, più bevi più ti si ricarica la batteria. Molto piacevole, fatta bene, ceramica di ottima qualità, ideale per un the del pomeriggio o caffelatte alla mattina, basta che sia bollente altrimenti la batteria non si carica. Ottimo come idea regalo, simpatica, l'ho cercata e adesso è mia. Feedback positivo 5 stelle.

Es ist ein ein wenig verspieltes Trinvergnügen, macht quasi einen zusätzlichen Augenschmaus. Es ist eine Freude zu schaun, wenn die tristen schwarzen Kreise zum bunten Blumenvergnügen erweckt werden. Auch eine nette Geschenkidee.

The mug is very cool! The base design is very basic and works really well for everyday use, but the pixel heart is definitely the selling point. While it is a little unfortunate that it can only be hand-washed, it is a very small price to pay for this awesome mug. The heart is very cool and watching it fill and empty as you get through your day is really neat. If you consider getting it I definitely recoomend it as it is an awesome addition to any cupboard, big or small!

Really bad quality and broke after the 1st wash. See the photo I uploaded...
