This is a really great game. The mechanics are relatively simple to pick up, but developing the strategies to win is a little more complex, making the game very replayable. Only played it as a two player so far which works well, but I imagine with four it will be faster moving and more competitive. Falls somewhere between a quick filler game and a long involved one, so a good one for rounding out your collection. Definitely great value.

I have bought it just because it was an awesome deal. After first play I found myself to enjoy this game a lot and, what's even better, my girlfriend enjoys it a lot as well :) It is a solid card tableau building game with a rebuilding London theme. I don't think there is anything particular that I dislike about this game, it has quite good pacing enjoyable art and is not table hungry. The player interaction is kept on a level that makes it enjoyable but doesn't require aggression. Easy recommendation from me.

Great game with high quality cards & board - easy to learn and arrived in good order

Love the game, but it's a bit difficult to get at the beginning. We play it with just 2 players and it's great; haven't tried with 3 or 4 players yet though. Once you get the gist of it, fun game!

Osprey version is beautifully made and high quality. I like the art and style. The game itself is pretty straight forward to learn and play. Family level game only the theme might not draw the younger players in.

Never played the original printing. I have a few other Wallace games like Brass, Tinner's Trail and Railway of Nippon. London seems to be a hidden gem. Excellent game. Lots of decisions but overall simple game with a lot of replayability due to the cards. Artwork in this version is supreme. A bit faded and pastelly but beautiful nonetheless. Graphic design is clean and consistent. No need to reference the rulebook after you have played a game or two. Only slight downside is the rulebook is a bit convoluted at first, but you will understand it easily a game or two in.

i enjoy this game immensely. The game is not very difficult to learn, has engaging and beautiful art, and tense and strategic choices to make, especially about when to run your city, how large to make your city, and of course, watching your opponents and tracking what they are doing. Quality materials, great gameplay. If you are a eurogamer, you probably should think about owning this one.

Product arrived in great condition and earlier than expected. I saw some pretty negative reviews after purchasing, and so became a little concerned, but you need not worry about those. They were very helpful and the delivery was smooth as possible

Gioco molto interessante, con una meccanica innovativa ma, a voler trovare un difetto: troppo lungo per quello che è (c'è senso di crescita, ma rimane un po' ripetitivo). Partite della durata di un'ora abbondante, anche un' ora e mezza. Voto 7.5 su bgg Arrivato con ammaccature perché messo senza protezioni in una busta di cartone Amazon. Ho comprato 3 giochi su Amazon e sono arrivati tutti danneggiati, a causa di imballaggi inadeguati (buste di cartone), come se l'articolo contenuto fosse un usa e getta, mentre per noi è articolo da collezione. Avevo chiesto sostituzione per il primo (Taverne di val fonda), e il sostituto era arrivato sempre col solito imballaggio e ovviamente danneggiato anch'esso. Per questo gioco (London) e per il terzo danneggiato (Horrified) rinuncio in partenza a chiedere la sostituzione, perché non risolvebbe il problema ma sarebbe solo un disagio per me che devo rispedire indietro inutilmente. Altri e-commerce fanno sconti sui giochi danneggiati, per cui se proprio li devo avere danneggiati mi rivolgerò altrove, dove almeno riconoscono economicamente il danno; se pensate sia un problema anche per voi, meglio non comprare più giochi da tavolo su Amazon, come farò io.
