This product is all natural, No chemical treatment. Sundried. Hence a little burnt color. No Bleach used to remove natural color and making it look lighter. The natural loofah is hard initially, however soaking it in hot soapy water softens it a little, and loosens the seeds as much as possible. With regular use the loofah softens up a lot.
