This onion is a speciality of Calabria where the seed is still produced and the onion itself has DOP status like Champagne from that region. It is said you can almost eat it like an apple. Very sweet and the high sugar content also means it caramelizes well. Sow spring and again in autumn. Franchi Seeds Is Still In The Same Family After 7 Generations. Box Contains 1 x Seeds
