I have some old cabinets that had no knobs, and needed about 40 knobs. I tried these and they work. The screws aren't lone enough to reach on any door thicker than 1/2 inch. I countersunk a few, then went to Lowes and bought longer metrics crews. The casting is rough, you have to be careful not to overtighten as the threads strip easily. On 2 or 3, I had to run a tap and clean up the threads. No big deal, they were better than I expected for the price. These are cabinet knobs so they are smaller than a typical dresser knob. I bought these to replace all the knobs on my dresser drawers and at first I thought they looked a little silly but once the old ones were removed and I didnt have a comparison, I loved them! Very modern and sleek looking. They do feel very cheap. Like a very hard plastic. Also, the length of the screws provided were 3/4inch. I had to go buy 1 inch screws (bring one with for sizing!) Lastly.. since they are a plastic (or similar) they have a "seam." They are not completely smooth all the way around. Since these are in my bedroom where no one goes, it doesnt matter to me.
