Is this for the engine

It is a cabin filter. I think you might be looking air filter that filter air which then goes to your engine. That is not the one. This one filter air that you are breathing, not the engine.

Does this meet HEPA standards?

Hi. I am not sure if it does meet HEPA standard but I have been using this filter for many years now, I obviously change them every year and all I can say is that this filter kills and blocks practically everything which is trying to get into the car cabin no matter how much polluted outside air is. I strongly recommend it.

how often should I change my air filter (I live in central london)?

Hi there, This pollen filter is exactly the same filter what your car probably came with, as a matter of fact the OEM made by MANN and the part number is matches as well. It is one of the most advanced pollen filter on the market. The manufacturer recommendation is to change it every 2 years, but I personally change it every year. If you live in a highly polluted area, definitely would change it every year. It’s a 5 minutes job and the price right now is very reasonable. I hope this helps
