## Description

Product Description Time to pull on the vest one more time as Bruce Willis reprises his role of John McClane, everyday NY cop with a knack for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Set in Washington DC, this fourth instalment of the franchise, finds McClane routinely asked to bring in a computer hacker, Matt Farrell (Justin Long) for questioning. In transit, events overtake them as they witness a full-scale cyber attack on the country's infrastructure led by mystery attacker Thomas Gabriel (Timothy Oliphant), who plans to systematically shut down or destroy the nation's major networks over three days. With time running out, McClane and his hacker friend have to stop the mastermind before it's too late. Yippee Ki Yay. desertcart.co.uk Review Twelve years after Die Hard with a Vengeance, the third and previous film in the Die Hard franchise, Die Hard 4.0 finds John McClane (Bruce Willis) a few years older, not any happier, and just as kick-ass as ever. Right after he has a fight with his college-age daughter (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), a call comes in to pick up a hacker (Justin Long, Dodgeball) who might help the FBI learn something about a brief security blip in their systems. Now any Die Hard fan knows that this is when the assassins with foreign accents and high-powered weaponry show up, telling McClane that once again he's stumbled into an assignment that's anything but routine. Once that wreckage has cleared, it is revealed that the hacker is only one of many hackers who are being targeted for extermination after they helped set up a "fire sale," a three-pronged cyberattack designed to bring down the entire country by crippling its transportation, finances, and utilities. That plan is now being put into action by a mysterious team (Timothy Olyphant, Deadwood, and Maggie Q, Mission: Impossible 3) that seems to be operating under the government's noses. Die Hard 4.0 uses some of the cat-and-mouse elements of Die Hard with a Vengeance along with some of the pick-'em-off-one-by-one elements of the now-classic original movie. And it's the most consistently enjoyable installment of the franchise since the original, with eye-popping stunts (directed by Len Wiseman of the Underworld franchise), good humour, and Willis's ability to toss off a quip while barely alive. Yippee-ki-ay! --David Horiuchi

Review: Great - Almost a classic.
Review: Brilliant fun and possibly factual - * Summary Many college-level coder are, without their knowledge, individually contributing to a rogue ex-senior military coder bent on revenge for being unfairly sacked. Once paid, the coders who contribute are killed. One such coder is in line to be killed, but lucky for him, is being arrested by John McClane and the two begin to try and sort out the three-level attack on the countries infrastructure with many physical attacks and loss of lives. Its a race against time as who wins? * Commentary It's written in the late 1990s so if it turned accurate in the decades following is good design information. The three leads work well, Bruce Willis, Justin Long and Timothy Olyphant. The technical integration of computers and services and the intense level of complexity with low security between these systems is possibly true. It's a good movie that stands up to repeated viewing. Update: I have researched online about 'I.O.T' (Internet of Things) and this film plot is possible in parts. If you want to see just use Youtube and the broader information of the web and google I.O.T. The stories I have come up with are thought-provoking. For example, you can buy a web-enabled kettle. This has poor design security. A hacker can use WiFi to get around this poor security to find the password to your router and get into your computer network. Another, a web-enabled car can be hacked to block your key and lock you out of it and be held to ransom. It's very sad the actor is succumbing to a form of Dementia. My dad passed away with this and other complications. It's a terrible way to go.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The best Die Hard movie???
*by D***E on 2 February 2013*

Obviously the first Die Hard was the best one out of the series and possibly the best action movie of its time. The second movie was also really good and the promise of a great franchise of films looked on the horizon, then there came the disappointing ending of Die Hard 3 which ruined a good film and it looked like the end. When Die Hard 4 was mentioned, with another director, I was very skeptical and I had to watch it a couple of times, but its now one of my favourite action movies ever. The only reason I don't watch the first film any more is that I've seen it sooooo many times. Roll on Die Hard 5 - In Russia no less.
