Spares2go Complete Motor Unit for Dyson Dc07
Excellent product, works well and has restored our DC07 to its original powerful state. Not easy to fit, but plenty of helpful videos available on YouTube. Had to also replace the pre motor filter housing (yellow plastic round container holding the sponge filter). This had become blocked and caused the new motor to overheat and cut-out. Good value for money. The Dyson DC07 is now fairly old but well worth keeping going as it is very efficient.

Motor for Dyson DC 33
The cleaner seemed ready for the scrap heap until I saw I could still get a motor for it. Fitted it with a bit of advise from u tube and is going great. Dyson 33 is better than all the new Dysons Will be good for years now.

Decent quality.
Bit fiddly to fit, takes an hour or so! Involves a full vacuum cleaner strip down! If you’re not good at jigsaw puzzles you need someone to do it. But, as opposed to the cheap Chinese copy for a £10’er I tried, which burned out almost immediately, this is a decent one. Not so sure about the suction as wanted the original powerful 2,200 watts of suction but I don’t think this quite gets there (I’d guess about 1,600 watts of suction power). But all said & done I’m pleased with it. (Q) Would I recommend? (A) yes! I’d give it 85% on suction but my old faithful DC07 lives again!

Waste of my money
Purchased this item as wanted to replace a DC33 motor that had finally given up the ghost after 8 years, item arrived on time and couldn’t wait to get the item replaced, I’d stripped the Dyson down in preparation so all I needed to do was put the new motor in and put it back together. The motor was relatively easy to fit although it was a little tight to get back in to it’s casing once the rubber boot had been fitted to it. The vacuum was put back together and I fired it up, it worked a treat, for all of 5 minutes! There quickly followed a smell of burning and a buzzing noise... I turned the hoover off and allowed it to cool outside. After a few hours, I gave it another try, still the same issue. I requested a return with the supplier as it was obviously faulty, I received a reply from them to say that I should clean or replace the filters and the return was closed, as simple as that! The vacuum was stripped right down, it was cleaned within an inch of its life whilst waiting for their new motor to arrive, including filters. To cut a long story short, after a few weeks I put the motor back in its casing and tried it without attaching any of the belts etc just to ensure that they aren’t the issue, I was met with billowing smoke from the vents on the casing, obviously faulty! Waste of money as far as I’m concerned and was met with an unhelpful response when asking for a return. I’ve now ordered a YDK motor and will write this money off as a learning experience. To top it off it’s cost a lot more than the price of the motor as my wife wasn’t prepared to wait for it to be resolved so I had to buy a new hoover! I am only repairing the Dyson just to prove a point to myself, I will end up using it in my office at work once repaired!

53yr old female changed the motor.
OK, so to get the motor back in place takes plenty of patience. It's not hard, it's just lining the three parts up and slide them in - however it tends to slide down on one side so you have to take it out and start again. Make sure you have plenty of time or what I did, I walked away and went back to it another day as it really does get frustrating. There's plenty of videos out there and one that has a screenshot of each part of the video with written instructions. I found this more helpful as I couldn't really see what was happening on the videos. Whilst the dc07 was in pieces I thoroughly cleaned all parts and fitted new filters, a belt and cable. Sounds just the same as before with exactly the same suction. So glad I repaired mine.

Decent value alternative
Decent value alternative motor to revive your flagging Dyson. Easy to replace if you're handy & confident enough to tackle the job which looks more daunting than it is.

Quality replacement with thermal overload protection & fits well
Fitting any replacement motor in a Dyson is complex and not exactly ‘easy’ but 5 stars for being a good fit with no issues, has a built in thermal trip to prevent overheating and potential fire hazard (unlike many others for sale on Amazon) and absolute value for money being only a little more expensive than a set of motor brushes. Would buy again.
