I know the manufacturer says to wash in cold water, but, heck, they're dish towels, and in this house, that means they need to take a beating, and be able to be super-washed as needed. When I took them out of the dryer, I was very happy. The waffle-weave had tightened up to make it a thicker towel, they dry my dishes beautifully, and I love the colors. I suppose they shrank a wee bit with my hot washing and then drying in the dryer, but I liked the trade-off for the thicker waffle weave.

I just received four of these 2 days ago, and I broke the rules and washed them immediately in HOT water.
