Sturdiness and improved sleep. My back noticed the sleeper sofa without the foldable support was an issue to my back. The size fits my queen size sofa bed. The thickness causes the mattress to be comfortable without over giving into softness. The mattress feels like a cozy bed with my added mattress topper. The value for improving and upgrading my sleep standards is so worth the purchase. Very easy to assemble, open it like an accordian and mage your bed as usual. Your guests will be thankful you did.

We’ve had to tolerate a terrible sleeper sofa for years when we visit relatives. The nylon mesh platform of the sofa means we both slide downhill into the middle of the “bowl” that forms. We added a nice latex topper, which helped some. But the bowl problem remained. Once we added this board, things were much improved! It was still not what I would call comfortable, but the board kept things mostly level so we didn’t slide into the middle—a miracle! The device itself is nicely made. It’s not super heavy, but is still quite rigid. And the way it folds up in 3 sections makes it easy to store. In fact it can fit right under the couch cushions on some couches.

I had been waiting to get the sleeper sofa pads from the "other" company with all the good reviews but they have been out of stock for months. I needed something right away so bought these, figuring I would replace in the future if they were not good enough. they do the trick. Made out of solid particle board. Not cardboard. Very sturdy. Come in a tri-fold so can store behind the sofa. I bought two for a queen size sleeper sofa and placed the seams vertically. They are a little short on the sides. but that is not a problem. One overlaps the other, also not a problem. All in all they have made a huge difference in a very uncomfortable sofa and one that is very comfort le.

I purchased a new memory foam mattress to replace the original sofa bed mattress. The original mattress was a coil type & was never very comfortable to sleep on even when new as you could feel the support wires under the mattress. Amazon recommended purchasing the support board so you don’t feel the mattress support wires. While the support board is a quality made product it made the mattress feel so hard (you compared it to sleeping on the hard floor). Three sets of company slept on the new mattress with support board and all three said the bed was not comfortable at all. I will not use the support board in the future but will purchase probably 3” topper to place on top of the mattress.

Works really well, perfect for adding a solid layer for the mattress so guest can't feel the bars. I got this plus a mattress foam topper and it's definitely an improvement. The only thing is I can't fold the bed with this on it so I have to store it next to the sleeper chair.

It covers the sofa bed springs and saves the mattress. It also makes a solid base and goes well with our new foam mattress. Glad we paid the extra expense and bought it.
