Does anyone use this with wled sound reactive firmware and max4466? could really use your help with the pins setup. thx!

Get a board with better support. The pinout is wrong on this board so finding support for projects is nearly impossible.

Where is a schematic? need to understand why some gpio pins don't work as expected. p0 and p19 don't work, p2 works but has an on-board blue led.

The PCB's silkscreen gpio is labeled different from the physical on-board gpio of the chip.

Has anyone had any luck getting micropython onto this board?

Yes. Search for "Firmware for Generic ESP32 module" (URLs not allowed here). Download esp32-20210418-v1.15.bin from list under "Firmware with ESP-IDF v4.x"
