Bought this beach cover up for my very picky son. I will often buy him things that he will decide are not cool enough. But this cover up was perfect. He was THRILLED that the sides had buttons that would allow him to change out of wet swim trunks without anyone seeing him change. He was actually really proud that he could be modest but didn't have to find a rest room to change in. The fabric is a good material that was soft and thick enough to provide some warmth when stepping out of the water without being too hot or too thick. The hoodie was a good size and fit his head properly. I know my son really liked the pocket on the cover up too. We went to a beach where the sand stuck to everything. The good thing here is that it came out clean in the wash. I really like how it absorbed the water but didn't get bogged down or too heavy. It was a good value for the money and I really liked the design. Best of all, my picky kiddo liked the design too!

This was purchase 1 of 3 different brands and this one is BY FAR THE BEST! Bought this for my tall 4.5 yr old for getting out of the pool after swim lessons. Because he's in a class that requires Parents in the water with them, I needed something quick and absorbent to wrap him in while I toweled myself. This was exactly what I needed! Quite literally from the pool, super wet, this goes over his head and he's covered down to his ankles. It's super absorbent and lightweight, and definitely helps with the cold. It's roomy enough and long enough that he can remove his swim trunks with privacy and put on dry bottoms - all while still wearing it! It dries fairly quickly, no wet towel smell and machine wash/dries easily. (We do not use Fabric Softener for this material) Soft to the touch but NOT fleece - remember that this is microfiber so, it's soft but still towely if that makes sense. Highly highly recommend!!

I got this for my 8yo to wear after swimming, etc. It's great for kids who aren't skilled in keeping a towel wrapped around their body. Very handy after swimming lessons, etc. We also used it when we went to an indoor water park (Great Wolf Lodge), and it eas convenient for going back to our room after swimming. My only dislike is the feel of the microfiber fabric on my hands when I'm helping him put it on. It feels like it snags on my skin in places that I didn't think were rough and snaggy. I dislike it so much I try to avoid touching it. It doesn't seem to bother my son so that's good. The microfiber fabric does dry faster than terrycloth would, so that's a plus. This also fits my tall 6 year old

I had lots of trouble finding a non-toddler wearable towel that wasn't insanely priced. My 8yr old son loves this one. It's comfortable, dries pretty quickly and was perfect for the ocean where there's sometimes a cold breeze when you get out of the water but you still have to trudge back through the sand.

This isn't as great as I thought but it's still worth getting. It's better by the seaside/sand, but at wild camping outdoor shower, we found forest debris do stick to it a bit more than we wish. Would get a separate one for the swimming pool or stick to towels if camping in a forest.
