Perfect for cleaning counter top nugget ice machine
If you have a countertop nugget ice machine, this is the perfect cleaner. I use this every few weeks to descale ours instead of vinegar. It is very effective at removing mineral scale from our coffee maker too. There is no smell to it and if it is not quite rinsed enough there would only be a slight sourness instead of a vinegar taste. If you like the taste of sour candy it can also be used for making that as well. I am able to easily dissolve 1/3 cup of it into a gallon of hot tap water without any problems. This bag is a nice size to have plenty for cleaning items in the kitchen.

Really does remove rust.
I had seen on the Internet that this could be used to remove stubborn rust and hard water stains from toilets and sinks. I was a little cynical; I have tried some other "miracle cleaners" without much success. I was surprised that this really does work. I added very hot water to some crystals to make a paste. It doesn't take much water to get the consistency you will want. I then put on rubber gloves and spread this on the stubborn rusty stains in an old toilet. I used a sheet of plastic wrap over the paste to keep it in place and waited as directed, then went back and scrubbed the stains with a pumice stone as I rinsed with hot water. Whoa! Most of those stubborn stains came right off, and I mean GONE. So yes, it WORKS.

Citric acid
By itself itโs really sour but I use it for making a rust dissolving solution. For that it works excellent.

Multiple Uses with this one ingredient solution
I initially purchased this for cleaning my coffee maker, it had come with a 1-time use packet, and I figured out that the one ingredients was this and nothing else. Iโve tried this for my top loading washing machine- in the pre-wash cycle, and noticed a difference (thereafter) in the cleanliness of my clothes, less odor and soap residue in the drum of my washer. Iโll be trying this acid on other appliances too!
