GRAYL UltraPress Titanium Water Purifier & Filter Bottle, Covert Black

The GRAYL UltraPress Titanium water purifier is an absolute game-changer for outdoor enthusiasts. Its compact size and lightweight design make it an essential piece of gear for any backpack or travel kit. What sets this purifier apart is its incredible speed and efficiency. With a simple press, I can transform questionable water into clean, safe drinking water in seconds. The titanium construction is both durable and lightweight, making it perfect for those who prioritize every ounce in their pack. I've used this purifier in a variety of conditions, from remote backpacking trips to international travel, and it has consistently exceeded my expectations. It's easy to clean and maintain, and the filter life is impressive. If you're looking for a reliable, high-performance water purifier that won't weigh you down, the GRAYL UltraPress Titanium is a must-have. It's a product that truly lives up to its reputation as a lifesaver. *Note: While I haven't personally tested the ability to heat the titanium bottle, many reviews mention this as a positive feature.*

Grayl ultra press titanium: This is my favorite purifier. Did 300 miles with this as my only purifier and I continue to love it. This press requires great upper body strength somewhat. I had to use mine by placing it on the ground then using all my weight on top of it to press it. Not the pain in the but you might think…. That position gave me a good slow and full lower back stretch every time I used it. A lower back stretch like that can do wonders for sore muscles and endurance levels. It’s thin and fits easily on the front shoulder strap. Its long shape means it won’t fit under a lot of water sources. I cut off the bottom of a smart water bottle to use as a dipper in those situations. Its best feature is the fact that I can dip it into a water source without bending over at al by using a string tied to its loop.. The novelty of doing so never wore off the entire 300 miles. In fact, with the string in play: I can get water from otherwise unreachable sources by throwing my ultrapress into the water. Don’t want to walk the 10 feet down the muddy bank? No problem, just stand on a rock, aim then gently toss the canister. It’s rather fun. It’s much harder to press/filter at the end of the day when exhaustion sets in but then so are all camp chores. The exterior of this press can function as a survival item in a worst case situation and can be directly placed in a wood fire to boil small amounts of water if necessary. Initially I thought that the titanium press held too little water to be practical and I had trouble choosing between this and the other larger options that Grayl has. In the end I’m glad I went with this. It’s so easy to use that I could stop, fill it and drink at a stream crossing without even taking off my pack or loosing any hiking time. I found that I actually drank more often than I otherwise would because it was just so easy to get drinkable water, fast. The palms of my hand would get mildly sore from pressing. But I would never want Grayl to change their design to make pressing easier, as that would just add more weight. I’m very happy with this device as it is. But I did remove the metal handles to reduce ounces.

Awesome bottle with more than one way to purify your water. It's clean and very durable.

Awesome tumblr. Definitely highly recommend this for anyone looking for a quick water source while camping out or in some kind of survival situation. The Titanium is super light for easy carry on or carrying in your kit while traveling.

Got this on sale for maybe $50 over the basic model - used to travel overseas and didn't buy one bottled water! Probably saved me the value of the unit. It's a great design, simple, somewhat hard to push though for smaller bodied persons, and doesn't hold a lot of water, so bring an extra bottle if you need a fuller cache. Worked great in creaks, rivers, and the worst water - some of the public water sources. I always filtered just to be safe. Water wss chlorine free, we stayed healthy. Helps if you dry the filter from time to time - cleaning and care is simple. It was so valuable I lost it and ran back 2 miles in the Alps up a major back climb to rescue it. One thing I notice is the seals seem to be a little weaker after 2 weeks use - some dripping, careful not to force fully in or not in far enough..

Purchased this to replace my old molded GeoPress for when I'm packing lighter. Product is very solid in construction, but after just a few test filters, I noticed that the aluminum container was getting scratched up. Doesn't seem to impact the quality of it ... yet. But I'll be a bit weary when using it, since it is very unsightly. Logically, it makes sense that using the press is bound to cause some scratches when you're applying as much pressure as you are. I do love the improvements GRAYL has made to the lid and filter too, as well as improving the filter to accept the one-way valves in case you want to use any mix-ins.

I have now used this for well over six weeks of assorted travel and love it. Sturdy and easy to use if you follow the directions. I am a large man but with cleanish looking water and a fairly new still filter I didn’t find much resistance pressing the inner into the outer. Important part is remember to vent the cap so air can escape from inner as it fills up with water.. I love that I can now not buy bottled water traveling now, and it can go out for day trips allowing sketchy bathroom or public water refills if needed, It also doubles as potential survival pot/cup if ever needed, YSA has yet to give it a second look and it’s been hella sturdy after a lot of rough trips.

I love this water bottle! I’ve used it to purify hotel water and creek water, and it taste fine every time on top of being purified and filtered. Kids will even drink it too. I went with the smaller one so I didn’t have a huge metal bottle to carry love that it has a handle in the filter is easy to replace!

Una maravilla. Se acabó comprar agua embotellada en los viajes.

Me encantó TODO su construcción el filtro de alta eficiencia y mantiene el líquido fresco, ligero y fácil de limpiar

Item as described, arrived promptly, 5 Star

Es ist sehr beruhigend, egal wo man sich befindet, zu wissen, dass dieser Filter einem immer frisches Wasser aufbereitet. Da kann kein Weg zu lang sein.
