Another Excellent JMBricklayer Kit
This was a good solid quality build. Pieces fitted perfectly. I don't know how they manage it, but absolutely no spare pieces from any of the bags! Overall the kit is excellent. The manual is clear and easily followed. Just one tiny criticism. Maybe there could be a bit of a help identifying each sail and where it goes on the respective masts/rigging. Whilst the triangle shaped sails are obvious, the rest are similar in size and apearance. Maybe a removable sticker on each one to aid positive identification? That aside I still believe this period sailing vessel is excellent value for money and is a really good entertaining build.

Very poor quality, poor instructions and bits don't stay together
Very poor quality, poor instructions and bits don't stay together. Plactic warps after several minutes when put together and because of a design issue the front keeps falling off. Overpriced and poorly made

If your worried about it not being as good as Lego, don't be. It's worth the price.
For the money, this set is well worth it, hell at twice the price it's still cheaper than a Lego set of this size. (Though I did get mine on sale for $105) WHAT YOU REALLY WANT TO KNOW: Yes the quality of the brick are good. Not as precise as Lego, but they are they are 1000 times better than the no name brands, and for the most part they do go together well. Just a little tight or lose sometimes, more tight than ever lose. This is my second JMBricklayer product, unlike the first one this had no missing pieces, though 4 were damaged, one short shot, one just broken, and due to the tight packaging both 16x16 plate were warped so bad they couldn't be used. Like the other major brands they do offer free replacements. You just have to jump through a few more hoops to get them. Taking pictures of the actual instructions (no screen shots) to circle the page, step, and part that is missing/damaged, giving a receipt to prove you actually bought the set. They don't have part numbers or an inventory at the end of the instructions to make it easier to just tell them I'm missing this piece. Be warned coming from China they can take a long time to get to you, both times mine took a month to get to me. The instructions were easy to follow until the very end. The sails are hard to tell apart and you may spend some time trying to figure out which one goes where. Speaking of the sails, you're going to have to spend some extra time ironing them out. Due to the tight packaging, the come folded and wrinkled, a little mist of water and an iron takes care of this, and they are as good as new. As for the overall design of the ship, it could have used a little more time in the oven. The poop deck doesn't come off all that easily to provide access to the captains cabin. The main deck is split in a poor location, right through one of the cannon ports. Making the mounting of that cannon a little precarious and incapable of staying in place when you remove either side of the deck. The ladder from the lower gun deck to the upper gun deck is attached to the bottom of the upper gun deck so that you can't lay it flat on the table when removed. The capstan doesn't have a way to lock in place when the anchors are raised so they fall back down immediately upon release. For detail it's a little sparse in the interior, though I consider that almost a plus, leaving you plenty of options for customization. Grab you extra parts and start decorating the captains cabin, add some creates and cannon balls. Throw in a few cots for the crew. Add a crew lol. This is really more of a display piece than a play set, though with some modifications it can definitely be turned into one, and like I said at the beginning, the price makes it to where you're not going to feel anxiety at letting your child actually play with it and lose a piece or three. It's probably never going to go up in value like Lego sets. But if you're buying sets for investment, you're probably not reading this review. Get it for your kids to play with, or as a really nice looking display piece.

Klare Kauf Empfehlung! Preis auf jeden fall gerechtfertigt! (circa 144 Euro)

Love it!!!!!!!!
This LEGO pirate ship building set is absolutely incredible. The instructions are very easy to follow, and while the build itself isn’t difficult, it does take time — and it’s completely worth it. My son usually finishes LEGO sets in just a few hours, but this one kept him engaged for almost three days. He started around 7:00 a.m. and built until 7:00 p.m. for two days in a row. That alone says a lot about how detailed and exciting this set is. He was so happy and proud when he finally finished it. The final result looks amazing, and now our only challenge is finding a place to display it because the pirate ship is huge! Highly recommended for LEGO fans who enjoy a longer, rewarding build. We bought it as a Christmas gift.
