Review: Great Stove...Great Company...Great Service!!! - I just purchased the Zoom Plancha (La Mera Mera) Stove to go with my Zoom Versa Stove , which by the way, is a great stove. Got an email 20 minutes after I placed the order saying it has shipped...the folks at EcoZoom are great! Can't wait to use the Zoom Plancha! If this stove is even close to the quality of the Zoom Versa it will be a great stove. Will update as soon as I get it tested. Received the stove and had the weekend to review. Just as I expected, the Zoom Plancha is very well built and just as durable as the Zoom Versa. The Plancha is very well packaged for shipping. Once out of the box and setup it is very obvious this is a quality stove. If you're not sure of the best way to fire up this stove just follow the instructions stated by the BBQ Guy in his review and you'll be well on your way. I put this stove thru the paces and performance was flawless, better than expected. This is the perfect emergency or off the grid stove, if you go with the Zoom Plancha you won't be sorry!
Review: Shipping Causes Damage but Easy Fix - Understand that shipping an item like this some damage can occur. The issue here was upon receiving and opening the item, the baked stone/clay (or whatever material is used) had some damage/broken pieces. Use Stove and Gasket Cement and simply fix it up to a like new condition. Simply unscrew and remove the Plancha top, use a vacuum to remove the loose debris, apply the Stove and Gasket Cement. Let dry according to guidelines, then reassemble. Easy fix.

**Q: I am looking for a small rocket stove to keep my garden office warm..it would be used mainly for heating, and tea-making. Would this be suitable?**
A: Hi, the La Plancha are designed for use in covered, ventilated kitchen areas for cooking food in developing nations. 30,000 were distributed in Chiapas in Mexico. Space heating is less important for these areas. Whilst being great at directing flue gases to the chimney, and heat at the cooking plate (the La Plancha) the stove is effectively unsealed by UK standards, incorrect use might mean flue gases and smoke (including CO) might flow back into a sealed area . We recommend ventilation before, during and after any use of the the stove. As a cooking tool it's great, but any space heating is subsidiary, at your own risk and not the purpose of the unit. I know of people who have installed these in small spaces for the purposes you suggest and have made them aware of the risks, and it's very important for us to make customers fully aware of these risks, you're handling a fire after all!. **Q: how long can this be kept running safely for in one sitting? how long does it take to cool down so it can be moved too? thx**
A: Hi , it's a refractory item meaning not effected by heat. I've used it for hours at a time and when the diatomaceous clay core is heated up it maintain good heat output for very minimal fuel. Long term use will require the ash to be removed from the two warm air reservoirs, about once an hour. It will be hot for some time after use, but can be moved as long as the fires stopped, hot charcoals removed etc and it's isolated from anything it can melt.

**Q: i am seriosly considering to buy one, i will be selling street food at markets and events etc so im looking for altenatives to gas you see**
A: A great option, you will save money not buying gas, benefit the taste of your cooking with a real wood fire and attract people with the environmental message...no fossil fuels.

**Q: Could this be bolted to the floor in a caravan???**
A: Hi RhenThe La Plancha has a bit of weight so usually is very stable. It doesnt have any fixing holes in the base. But it could easily by 'clamped' down using the bottom plate of the rear wood store. We couldn't recommend drilling holes, but I'm sure people have done this. I'm assuming you wanted to keep the stove still while in transit.Hope this help?

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is a fantastic little stove

It produces 550F-650F of continuous heat on the top using only dry sticks. I have been able to keep it running continuously for several hours using only a single log tote's worth of wood. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for alternatives to typical outdoor wood burning stoves. Hopefully it or a newer model comes back in stock.
