Even though the sales informationsays it works on induction hobs, it didn't work on mine. The hob did not detect a compatible pan.

As soon as you take this pressure cooker out of box you will notice that this is very sturdy and well-built pressure cooker. It also comes with a recipe book. This particular model features 60-micron hard-anodized aluminum that does not react with food, which means you will have safe and healthy food. Cooker looks beautiful due to its durable black finish. Hard anodizing has two benefits. It makes the pressure cooker absorb heat faster, making it more energy-efficient. And the pressure cooker stays looking new for years. Additionally, cooker is permanently attached to the 4.88 mm thick base is a plate of AISI 430 grade magnetic stainless steel which makes the cooker Induction Compatible. The Xtra Thick base heats quickly and retains heat well making it suitable for use on all gas, electric, ceramic and induction cooktops. The beautiful black finish due to hard anodizing has two benefits. It makes the pressure cooker absorb heat faster, making it more energy-efficient. And the pressure cooker stays looking new for years. With a capacity of 3 liter, this pressure cooker lets you comfortably prepare a meal for three to four people. This cooker is Made in India but carries US UL certification. DO NOT PUT THIS PRESSURE COOKER IN DISH WASHER – If you do so, you will lose shine of hard Anodizing. I have learnt that lesson after destroying shine of one such cooker.
